Bad memory? No problem, thanks to the Chipolo Plus

Chipolo Plus : Find your Keys, Phone, Anything with the World's Loudest Bluetooth Tracker
Forgetful? There’s an app for that. Or rather, there’s an Internet of Things device with a companion app for that. Meet the Chipolo Plus from Chipolo, a tiny little tag that you can misplace to your heart’s content without ever losing it or the item to which it’s attached.

The tiny IoT tag is a little disc that can slide or attach onto anything that you may otherwise misplace. Whether it’s your phone, your keys, or heck, your entire suitcase, the Chipolo Plus can keep track of things for you. If you find yourself searching for your keychain, simply access the Chipolo app (either from your smartphone or desktop) to make the tag ring. If, on the other hand, it’s your phone you’ve lost (but you have the Chipolo Plus handy), just double press the disc to ring your phone, even if you’ve placed it on silent.

“At Chipolo we believe that everything in the world should have the power of smart location, so that’s why we are creating the world’s largest lost and found community,” says CEO and founder Primoz Zelensek. “Our product is louder than market rivals, and is also available in seven colors and boasts a range of 200 feet. Finding things has never been easier.”

And don’t worry — using your Chipolo Plus regularly won’t cause it to run out of battery any faster. In fact, the tag’s battery supposedly lasts for one year, after which users will receive both an in-app notification and an email offering a new tag for 50 percent off. Chipolo will even pick up your old tag and send you a new one.

Louder than any of the company’s previous products and waterproof to boot, the Chipolo Plus comes in seven colors. “When small items like phones, wallets and keys get lost, it’s super annoying and frustrating for everyone involved,” Zelensek added. “Chipolo Plus will save people time each day, week and year by helping them to track down their misplaced items quicker than before.”

How to pre-order the OnePlus 10T
Holding the OnePlus 10T in front of a green plant.

The OnePlus 10T, OnePlus' performance flagship for 2022, is here. Following weeks of endless leaks and rumors, OnePlus formally announced the phone on August 3. It did so in big fashion, hosting an extravagant launch event in New York City -- OnePlus's first in-person gathering in over two years. The big change this year, of course, is support for AT&T's 5G networks, which has now been turned on. You can't buy your OnePlus 10T directly from AT&T, but if you're looking to put your existing SIM in your new phone, rest assured that it'll work.

But while the OnePlus 10T was unveiled at the start of August, pre-orders didn't open until September 1. So that meant you had to wait. Thankfully, that waiting period is now over. Unfortunately, it does mean the start of a whole new waiting period since the phone won't be finally available until September 29. OnePlus is really making us wait for this phone, so just try not to get impatient.

OnePlus 10T pre-orders go live in the U.S., and with a big 5G fix
Back of the OnePlus 10T.

Hot off the heels of its Asian and European launches, the OnePlus 10T is finally coming to North America, and with one major upgrade: 5G support with AT&T. For the first time on a OnePlus device, the OnePlus 10T will be fully compatible with AT&T 5G and 4G LTE networks, compared to previous handsets that only had LTE support on AT&T.

While the specs of OnePlus devices have always been impressive, especially so with the 10T, their recent reliance on LTE and other slower connections for AT&T customers has made them somewhat difficult to recommend. Now that users are able to make the most of 5G internet speeds, however, the 10T is more enticing than before.

This lesser-known Android phone is everything I wish the OnePlus 10T was
The iQoo 9T Legend showing its rear panel design.

Have you heard of iQoo? I’m going to guess you haven’t, so here’s an introduction. It’s a spin-off brand of Vivo that launched in 2019 and is part of the BBK Electronics empire along with Realme, Oppo, and OnePlus. It’s the connection to OnePlus that’s relevant here, because iQoo’s latest phone, the iQoo 9T, goes head-to-head with the OnePlus 10T in price.

We couldn’t recommend buying the OnePlus 10T, and having now spent some time with the iQoo 9T, it’s even clearer where OnePlus went wrong with it. I'd recommend the iQoo over the OnePlus, but there’s a slight problem with buying one that we will come back to shortly.
