GoVideo Launches WiFi DVD player

The new D2740 features onboard wireless 802.11g networking and wired Ethernet for one touch connection to the home network. Owners of the D2740 can enjoy their stored audio and video content or personal Rhapsody library on the TV screen in the comfort of their living room, and enjoy their favorite music on any stereo or home theater system. D2740 owners can browse their personal Rhapsody library by artist, album, and song title, and can also review the custom radio stations and playlists they have created using Rhapsody.

â€œMost people with PCs have accumulated a large amount of digital pictures, either on their own or through e-mails from friends and family. Combine that with the on-line music buying trend and delivery of video over the internet and people have PCs that are full of entertainment,â€ said Jerry Barbera, GoVideo’s senior vice president of sales and channel marketing. â€œâ€¦ This brings the PC media into the entertainment area of the house.â€

GoVideo D2740 Networked DVD Player owners can sign up for a free 30-day Rhapsody trial by visiting www.rhapsody.com/govideo. The Rhapsody music service is available from RealNetworks for $9.95 per month.

The D2740 is ready-to-use right out of the box, with music from independent artists and sample JPEG files featured on the included installation CD. The GoVideo D2740 Wireless Media receiver and DVD Player is available now at an MSRP of $199.99.
