Nyko FM Trans Kit for iPod nano

Peripheral maker Nyko Technologies today announced the FM Trans Kit for the iPod nano, designed to be a complete solution for iPod nano owners to want to groove to their favorite tunes over their car audio system.

“Nyko is committed to bringing high-quality accessories to the iPod market,” said Susan Corben Cox, Nyko’s VP of marketing. “The FM Trans Kit is a compact, easy to use, and flexible solution for motorists who want their iPod Nano’s music collection along for the ride.”

The FM Trans Kit transmits audio from the iPod nano to car audio systems over four selectable FM frequencies, and comes with a cigarette lighter car charger and three different mounting options which enable the iPod nano to be docked and accessible by clipping to horizontal or vertical air vents or to a sun visor, and an adhesive-backed clip enables owners to latch the FM Trans Kit onto any appropriate surface for safe accessibility on the road.

According to Nyko, the FM Trans Kit matches the sleek look of the iPod nano (we’re thinking that might be a matter of opinion, though), and can be powered by the iPod nano’s battery. Alternatively, the FM Trans Kit can be powered from the cigarette lighter adapter and charge the iPod nano while in use.

Nyko’s FM Trans Kit will be available throughout the U.S. this summer at an estimated retail price of $39.99.

With Chinese-made electric vehicles facing stiff tariffs in both Europe and America, a stirring question for EV drivers has started to arise: Can the race to make EVs more affordable continue if the world leader is kept out of the race?

China’s BYD, recognized as a global leader in terms of affordability, had to backtrack on plans to reach the U.S. market after the Biden administration in May imposed 100% tariffs on EVs made in China.
