80GB Zune Sells Out

If you’ve been considering buying one of the 80GB Zune media players for Christmas, you might as well start sweating now. They’re sold out all across the Web, and the chances of finding one at a bricks-and-mortar retailer stand somewhere between slim and none.  

Microsoft has promised more stocks will be available in around two weeks, and an Amazon spokesperson has told the Associated Press that they’re receiving a few units each week and that many Zunes have “definitely shipped and sold.”

You can easily obtain the 4 and 8GB Zunes, but the bigger units have been in remarkable demand.

Microsoft has to be happy at the response, since it’s been lagging far behind Apple and its various iPods in the media player market.

Nearly all current owners of electric vehicles (EVs) are either satisfied or very satisfied with the experience, and 92% of them plan to buy another EV, according to a survey by the Global EV Drivers Alliance.

The survey of 23,000 EV drivers worldwide found that only 1% would return to a petrol or diesel car, while 4% would opt for a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) if they had to replace their car.

The transition team of President-elect Donald Trump is planning to end existing car-crash reporting requirements to safety regulators, according to a Reuters report.

The report cites a document obtained by Reuters that lays out the transition team’s 100-day strategy for automotive policy. In the document, the team says the crash-reporting requirement leads to “excessive” data collection, Reuters says.

A recent survey by research firm Accenture determined that a majority of potential buyers of electric vehicles (EVs) are mostly concerned with reliability, affordability, and how well EVs integrate into their daily lives.

It seems Plug In America, a nonprofit dedicated to accelerating the shift to electric vehicles, has listened to those concerns as it revamped PlugStar.com, its information and shopping platform.
