Amazon unexpectedly slashes price of Apple Watch Series 6

Andy Boxall/Digital Trends

The Apple Watch Series 6, the latest edition of Apple’s popular wearable device, is already offered with a discount on Amazon after just more than a month since it rolled out. You can buy the 40mm, GPS model for only $375, a $24 discount from its original price of $399. Meanwhile, the larger 44mm, GPS model may be purchased for only $415, down $14 from its original price of $429.

The Apple Watch Series 6 is powered by a dual-core processor based on the iPhone 11’s A13 Bionic chip, which makes it 20% faster than the Series 5. One of its most striking features is the always-on display, which was introduced on the Series 5. Instead of the screen going dark when unused for a while, the watch face subtly changes and dims to keep the time visible. This makes the device look even better on your wrist, but it doesn’t significantly affect battery life as Apple still promises 18 hours on a single charge.

For health and wellness buffs, the Apple Watch Series 6 keeps the electrocardiogram feature that was first added to the Series 4, which is useful for wearers with heart issues. It also adds the Blood Oxygen app, which can be used to help understand your overall fitness and wellness.

Also powering the Apple Watch Series 6 is watchOS 7, the latest version of Apple’s operating system for its smartwatches. In addition to ECG and blood oxygen measurements, watchOS 7 adds sleep tracking, handwashing detection, and new workout types, and it enables Apple Maps with cycling directions and Siri with language translation.

I used CamelCamelCamel to check if these are the best deal prices for Black Friday (they are)
CamelCamelCamel in the desert giving you a smug unsatisfied look.

You may or may not know this, but certain online retailers and various small brands will actually increase prices before a huge sale, like early Black Friday sales, actual Black Friday, or even Cyber Monday and Cyber Week. Let's say, for example, they discount the product by $20. Weeks before, they might raise the price by $30 to make the discount look bigger. So, the reality is you're not actually getting a great deal -- they trick you. There is a way to combat this and find the best early Black Friday deals and beyond. There's a tool I use called CamelCamelCamel, which works wonders to help you find the real deals and steals. Well, anyway, I used the tool to find the best deal prices for Black Friday, and the holiday discounts. Let's take a closer look at some of those deals. Spoiler: They're so, so good.
