If you’re in the market for a new laptop, this is the deal for you: Today, for Prime Day, Amazon has Chromebooks on sale for just $249, but they are selling out fast so don’t wait to take advantage.

The newest Chromebook has an 11.6-inch display with 1366 x 768 resolution and an energy-efficient WLED backlight. The Intel Celeron Processor N3350 means fast connectivity and Intel performance. The Chrome OS paired with HD Graphics make tasks fast and vibrant. Capable of running thousands of apps and with built-in virus protection, this computer is ready for any tasks you throw at it. Play games, edit photos, read books, and surf the web all at once with 4GB of memory and the ability to run smoothly.

Weighing in at three pounds, the Chromebook is perfect for taking with you anywhere you need to go. With 32GB of flash memory, the system is ideal for applications and mobile devices since it provides enhanced storage capabilities. Data management is streamlined, boot-up times are quick, and high-definition playback is supported. The Chromebook in this offer is a cool ash grey with a full-sized keyboard and trackpad.

Prime Day vs. Black Friday: When’s the best time to shop?

Two of the biggest sales events of the year are Amazon's Prime Day and Black Friday, but how do you know which is the best one to shop? And are there key differences between the two events? With Prime Day coming up fast now that the Prime Day date for 2022 has been confirmed, you may be thinking you should favor that sale. Read on as we weigh up Prime Day versus Black Friday and explain everything you need to know about the two sales events.
What is Prime Day?
Prime Day is Amazon's annual sales event to mark its birthday. It's exclusively for Amazon Prime members rather than anyone with an Amazon account, but it's possible to access the deals via an Amazon Prime free trial if you subscribe at the same time as the event.

After two years of the event moving around due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Prime Day 2022 returns to its traditional July slot and will run July 12 and July 13. As well as that, there will be early deals commencing June 21 in the run up to the big event.

The HP Elite Dragonfly Chromebook looks like the best Chromebook ever made
The HP Elite Dragonfly Chromebook on a table next to a coffee cup.

Chromebooks continue to evolve, but at CES 2022, they took a big leap forward. HP has announced the Elite Dragonfly Chromebook, a companion to the standard Elite Dragonfly, now in its third generation -- and it's easily the most premium-looking Chromebook I've ever seen.

It sports a look straight from the Elite Dragonfly, which in itself takes some inspiration from HP's premium Spectre line of laptops and 2-in-1s. Suffice to say, these are the cutting-edge designs, not the out-of-date chassis styles that often end up in Chromebooks.
