TCL Alto 7  Soundbar

— $80, was $100

Image used with permission by copyright holder

The TCL Alto 7 soundbar is a decent replacement for a television’s cheap speakers or if you only need the bare essentials for your music. It has satisfactory audio quality, but it doesn’t go the extra mile for richer sound. It only has two channels to emit sound from on its left and right, so it isn’t as full as it could be with additional channels or the addition of a subwoofer, but it’s not bad by any means. Two woofers and tweeters each provide the music, and — though it isn’t anything to write home about — it also comes with a Dolby Digital decoder that will give any applicable soundtracks or tunes that extra boost they need to hit their full auditory potential.

For any external devices, the TCL Alto 7 has multiple inputs you can connect to, such as a mini-jack, USB Type-A, Toslink, and HDMI ports for wide application. If you prefer to go wireless, this soundbar is also equipped with Bluetooth, so you can take it on the go and never have to worry about the limits of wired connections. From there, you can use the included remote control for changing volume levels, skipping tracks, and the like. A wall bracket is also included for mounting if you prefer to place the soundbar in a particular location for greater coverage. If you want a sufficient soundbar that can play music to an acceptable degree, then the TCL Alto 7 2.0-channel soundbar is what you need. You can find it on Best Buy where it’s currently on sale for $80.

Vizio Soundbar with Wireless Subwoofer

— $145, was $180

Image used with permission by copyright holder

Unlike the TCL, the Vizio 2.1-channel soundbar system has its own wireless external subwoofer for low frequencies that regular speakers can’t quite hit. As usual, it has its woofers and tweeter drivers per channel, but it’s the subwoofer that allows it to shine, being able to hit deep notes for a heart-pumping bass. Overall, this soundbar system provides a closer surround sound experience than the TCL can deliver. And, though it can be wired, the wireless subwoofer can be placed anywhere for maximum sound potential, allowing you to take advantage of your space and sound. This soundbar system also has its own Dolby Digital decoder for various formats like DTS Studio Sound, TruSurround, and TruVolume, so you never miss a beat.

If you have external devices like a television or phone that you want to play from, the Vizio soundbar system has a number of input ports including two RCA, one USB Type-A, and one coaxial and optical digital audio. This way, you won’t struggle with a painful lack of options. You can also pair with the soundbar via Bluetooth for wireless connectivity that eliminates the hassle of cables completely. With the accompanying remote, you can even control it from a distance for volume control and various other playback options. This is most helpful when the soundbar is in a hard-to-reach area or if you’ve decided to mount it to a wall using the included bracket and can’t reach it. If you’re satisfied with middling sound quality, then Vizio’s 2.1-channel soundbar system with wireless subwoofer is a good choice. You can find it on Best Buy where it’s currently on sale for $145 from its retail price of $180.

LG Soundbar with Subwoofer

— $180, was $280

Image used with permission by copyright holder

If you want a robust soundbar system that outshines both the TCL and Vizio options on our list, then the LG’s 2.1-channel 300W soundbar system with subwoofer should be right up your alley. It has two channels on its left and right that produce above-average sound quality. Together with the included subwoofer, you’re getting music with minimal distortion and noise for full sound and powerful bass. Its audio quality doesn’t get hampered by large rooms, but it will need to be put at maximum volume for the best output. This soundbar system also has a Dolby Digital decoder that automatically elevates supported audio tracks for a more pleasing surround sound experience.

It’s a bit poor in regard to its connectivity as it only has Toslink and USB Type-A inputs, so you’re extremely limited to what you can plug into this soundbar. However, to compensate for this, not only does it have Bluetooth compatibility, but it’s also capable of pairing up with other LG products like additional rear speaker kits or LG TVs for a fully optimized sound system. It’s also wall-mountable, and the included bracket has space in the back for any wires. With the remote control, you can also manipulate the volume and other aspects from a distance. If you want an excellent pseudo home theater environment without splurging on a sound system, then you can’t go wrong with the LG 2.1-channel soundbar system with a subwoofer on Best Buy. It’s the most heavily discounted by far, priced at $180 with a massive $100 discount.

Sonos Beam Soundbar

— $350, was $400

Image used with permission by copyright holder

If you want one of the best budget-friendly soundbars with superb sound quality for your entertainment hub, then the Sonos Beam soundbar has to be at the top of your priority list. It has three channels — one in the left, right, and center — with four woofers and one tweeter for a wide range of audio coverage that can fill any room with crisp and full-bodied sound that doesn’t falter even at maximum volume. The sound quality is only further elevated with the five class-D amplifiers for powerfully bombastic sound. It does have a flaw, however, in that it doesn’t have a subwoofer for low frequencies, but the already existing audio is more than enough to compensate for this.

If you’ll be connecting it to external devices, you may struggle a bit with its limited ports as it only has one HDMI and optical audio input each. But if you don’t mind, have adapters, or already use these, then you shouldn’t have anything to worry about. It doesn’t have Bluetooth either, so you can’t play audio wirelessly. In exchange, the Sonos Beam soundbar can be paired with Alexa and Google Assistant for voice recognition and priceless convenience. Unfortunately, if you plan on mounting it to a wall, it doesn’t have an included wall bracket, so you’ll have to purchase that separately. If you can afford to pay for the quality, the Sonos Beam soundbar definitely won’t disappoint. You can check it out on Best Buy where it’s currently on sale for $350, letting you save $50 off its retail price.

Amazfit Balance deal on a smartwatch - lifestyle image

Imagine a smartwatch that comes with over 200 different and unique digital watch faces to choose from. Or, wearing a smartwatch that doesn't need to be charged every night, or even every few days -- with a true ultra-long battery life of 14 days or more. How about balanced workout tracking, sleep and readiness reporting, health and body analysis, and body composition measurements? Sounds too good to be true, right? Wrong! That's precisely what the Amazfit Balance offers, a true balance for your active and casual lifestyles with an absolutely impressive lineup of features and opportunities. We'll explore that further in a bit. For now, you should know that there's an Amazfit Balance deal that drops the regular price of $230 down to $195 today -- saving you $35.

Here's why you should shop today's Amazfit Balance deal
The average smartwatch is a fickle thing, at least when it comes to battery life. So many of them have to be charged on a daily or weekly basis, which almost entirely eliminates the point of wearing a watch. You use them to tell time, track various activities and stats, and receive notifications, usually anyway. If the smartwatch dies on you or needs to be put on a charger you can't do any of those things until you put it back on. The Amazfit Balance solves that in a big, big way. It offers ultra-long battery life, for starters, up to 14 days with typical usage, or can stretch up to 25 days of use in battery-saver mode. That's impressive.
