A New Tron: Legacy Trailer Debuts

With ComicCon currently underway, it is no surprise that Tron: Legacy would have a presence at the event. Tron may not technically have been a comic book movie, but it definitely leans towards the same demographics and fan base and makes a natural fit with the ComicCon scene. With that in mind, Disney has released a new trailer for the upcoming movie at the San Diego event.

Tron: Legacy comes 28 years after the original Tron, setting a Hollywood record for the longest gap between movie and sequel. The story revolves around Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund), son of Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges), the hero from the original. 20 years after Kevin’s sudden disappearance, Sam receives a message from his father to come to the abandoned Flynn’s Arcade, where Sam is then pulled into the digital world that his father visited in the past. Sam discovers that his father has been trapped, and together they must fight their way out of the construct.

Tron: Legacy was filmed in 3D using and will be presented in Digital 3D, IMAX 3D, and RealD 3D when it debuts on December 17.

Conclave doesn't just feel like an Agatha Christie mystery -- it also begins like one. The film's opening moments follow its beleaguered protagonist, Thomas Cardinal Lawrence (Ralph Fiennes), as he hurriedly makes his way through the streets of Rome. When he finally arrives at his destination, he is shocked and saddened to discover multiple cardinals gathered around the body of the newly dead pope. Arrangements are quickly made for Lawrence, Dean of the College of Cardinals, to lead and oversee a papal conclave to elect his former superior's replacement.

Superman: Everything we know about James Gunn’s DCU film so far

DC Studios' upcoming film Superman is less than a year away, and countless comic book fans are anxious to see the new Man of Steel in James Gunn's reboot of the DC Universe. Originally titled Superman: Legacy, this blockbuster will be the Last Son of Krypton's first solo film in over 10 years, so the hype is palpable. For those excited to learn more about this superhero epic, here's a breakdown of everything that's been revealed about 2025's Superman so far.
When does Superman come out?
Superman will premiere on July 11, 2025, making it one of the year's most highly anticipated summer blockbusters.
What is the story of Superman?
According to Variety, the film "tells the story of Superman's journey to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing as Clark Kent of Smallville, Kansas. He is the embodiment of truth, justice, and the American way, guided by human kindness in a world that sees kindness as old-fashioned."

Though plot details are still scarce, Gunn revealed on Instagram that the story and its characters are inspired by comics across several eras. Gunn's influences include the comics from writer Grant Morrison, particularly All-Star Superman, as well as Mark Waid's Kingdom Come, Jeph Loeb's A Superman For All Seasons, and Alan Moore's Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow? Gunn also revealed that he was influenced by director Richard Donner's Superman films, 1941's animated movie Superman: The Mad Scientist, and Superman: The Animated Series.
Where will Superman take place?
Like most Superman stories, this film will take place in the Man of Steel's old stomping ground: Metropolis. Cleveland was transformed into the iconic comic book city for the filming of Superman, featuring such notable landmarks as The Daily Planet. Allegedly, the film will feature the Hall of Justice, the base of operations for the Justice League.

Creature Commandos trailer introduces James Gunn’s DC Universe and a fan-favorite Batman villain

A new DC Universe is on its way, and comic book fans have finally gotten their first substantial look at it. The multimedia franchise isn't set to kick things off with one of its flagship heroes like Batman, Superman, or Wonder Woman, either. Instead, the DCU's first official entry belongs to an oddball mix of monsters known as the Creature Commandos. Created and written by James Gunn, Creature Commandos promises to bridge the gap between 2021's The Suicide Squad, 2022's Peacemaker, and the DCU's future.

Now, over a year after Gunn announced Creature Commandos, the animated series' first official trailer has debuted online. The teaser, which runs over 2 minutes long, efficiently introduces several of Creature Commandos' core characters, including The Bride (Indira Varma), Nina Mazursky (Zoë Chao), G.I. Robot (Sean Gunn), Weasel (also Sean Gunn), and Doctor Phosphorus (Alan Tudyk).
