Halo: The Master Chief Collection’s broken multiplayer has a fix incoming

Developer 343 Industries is working hard to address the matchmaking problems that have plagued Halo: The Master Chief Collection‘s multiplayer since its launch on November 11. It has been widely reported by users that finding multiplayer matches is taking far too long, much more than one would expect for a new shooter release that also happens to mark Halo’s Xbox One debut as a shooter.

We're aware that some users are experiencing longer than normal Matchmaking search times. We are actively working on a fix for this issue.

According to Halo Waypoint, 343 has released server updates that should expedite the search times. The developer continues to monitor the situation and apply further updates to both the game and its servers as necessary. 343 asks that fans keep them posted on their user experience, reporting any issues on the game’s support forum.

Halo Infinite's co-op insider flight build didn't launch on July 11 as some players anticipated, but the test is still on track to launch soon. According to 343 Industries Community Director Brian Jarrard, the team is still looking to launch the test this week, though it could come a bit later than planned

Earning medals is a staple of any Halo game -- Spartans who prove themselves on the battlefield are recognized for their wartime accomplishments after every game alongside their kill-death ratio and overall score. Halo Infinite is getting some serious progression changes

Since its launch, players have had an issue with Halo Infinite's progression system. They weren't leveling up fast enough and XP was being doled out based on winning or losing matches and completing challenges, not performance like past entries in the franchise. While developer 343 Industries has tackled some of these issues, a new blog post on Halo Waypoint revealed that it has much larger changes for the game's progression in motion.
