The release of Freedom Cry, the single-player story DLC for Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, is confirmed for December 17. No price has been announced for the DLC alone, but it will come as part of the Season Pass.
The single player story add-on will offer nine missions, all starring Adéwale, the former first-mate of Edward Kenway’s Jackdaw. The DLC takes place 15 years after the events of Black Flag. Adéwale, now a fully trained assassin, is shipwrecked on the island of St. Dominque (modern day Haiti). A former slave himself, Adéwale is confronted with a brutal and thriving slave trade of the area.
The DLC follows Adéwale as he attempts to escape the island. The more he interacts with the locals though, the more he is drawn into a budding revolution. The DLC also feature two new weapons in the form of Adéwale’s machete and bunderbuss.
Freedom Cry will be available for PC, PlayStation 3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One on December 17.
