Capcom last week detailed four new downloadable video games coming to Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network and the PC. These titles are part of the company’s "Digital Initative" to offer better quality downloadable games.
The first game, Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, is the latest incarnation in the series of the same name and features "newly created 1080p HD graphics, several new game modes, improved game balance, new stage backgrounds courtesy of Udon Entertainment and online play." This title is joined by Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, which will use "the original game code while upgrading the graphics with new artwork and high resolution 1080p images. Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix will include both online and offline competition for one to two players."
Other games coming soon from Capcom include Rocketmen: Axis of Evil, an arcade shooter for up to four players, and Talisman, a fantasy hybrid board/role-playing game which offers a a 3D representation of the traditional board game’s map with animated features.
“Following in the footsteps of our highly successful Street Fighter II Xbox Live title, these projects represent the beginnings of a much larger ‘Capcom Digital Initiative’ focused around the limitless creativity and community development that can happen with downloadable content models,” said Jack Symon, director, brand marketing, Capcom Entertainment, in a statement.
