UK racing games developer Evolution Studios (World Rally Championship and MotorStorm series) has finally announced that their upcoming PlayStation 4 exclusive, Driveclub, will be released on October 7. The ” innovative, socially connected racing game” was originally slated as a PS4 launch title, but has been pushed back to give the devs time to make sure the title fulfills its potential.

That October 7 date is becoming more and more crowded all the time, and Driveclub is going to face some stiff competition. Alien: Isolation, Dragon Age: Inquisition, and Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor are all scheduled to release on the same day.  When it does debut, Driveclub will stick to its initial plan of offering two versions of the game. The first will be a traditional retail release, featuring all of the game’s content; the second will offer a trimmed down version free to PlayStation Plus members who can try the game out and purchase additional content later.

Check out the new trailer below and gawk at those next-gen cars. It looks like they’ll need to make your living room smell like exhaust and motor oil if developers want to push realism any further for racing games.

The Sims 4 is proving to be quite the popular life simulator, and a great addition to the long-running Sims series. But when you’re always running out of money, or can’t get that item you’ve been dying to utilize, inputting a cheat code or two can make things a little easier, and much more fun (especially if you’ve been struggling). Fortunately, EA — the game’s developer — realizes how fun using cheat codes can be, and has triumphantly stood behind these Sims 4 modifications.

Whether you’re playing the game on a PC, PlayStation 5, or other console, we’ve rounded up all the cheats you’ll need to know for The Sims 4. We’ll be sure to update this post as new codes are added.

3 PS Plus games to play this 4th of July weekend (July 4-7)
Key art for Assassin's Creed III: Remastered

Happy Fourth of July! It's a holiday weekend, so you're probably going to have a lot of time to relax and party -- or play video games inside while everyone else is blowing up fireworks in the blistering summer heat outside. If you're anything like me, you're probably looking for some new games to play over the course of Independence Day weekend this year, and subscription services like PlayStation Plus Premium thankfully provide tons of options for you to check out. I've even found three somewhat themed around the holiday that you can try.

The first is an Assassin's Creed game set during the American Revolution, which is actually one of very few games to thoroughly explore that period of American history. If you're looking for something more cynical or satirical about America, then there's a remake from Black Forest Games and THQ Nordic that you should play. Finally, if you associate aliens and that classic Will Smith movie Independence Day with this holiday weekend just as much as you do fireworks, then there's a game from Housemarque you must play.

3 Days of Play PS Plus games to try this weekend (June 7-9)
Key art for Streets of Rage 4.

June 2024 is shaping up to be a pretty great month for PlayStation players. Not only are we coming off an entertaining State of Play showcase, but a new Days of Play initiative surrounding all the video game showcases this month is bringing a lot of new PS Plus additions with it. Many of those games hit PS Plus this week, and three in particular stand out to us.

For owners of Sony's oft-neglected PlayStation VR2, the first game is one of its rare exclusives that take full advantage of the headset's eye-tracking by seeing how often players blink. The next is a new PS Plus Essential game that's a revival of Sega's classic beat-'em-up series for the modern gaming era. Finally, the last title is an atmospheric and eerie fishing game that should entice fans of Lovecraftian horror.
