E3 Gets Ready To Roll

Next week – from June 2-4, to be exact – 200 computer, technology and video game publishers and developers will converge on this year’s E3 Expo at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

Michael D. Gallagher, president and CEO of the Entertainment Software Association, which represents the U.S. computer and video game publishers and owns the E3 Expo, said:

"This year’s E3 Expo has garnered overwhelming support from members, exhibitors, attendees and media. We anticipate a blockbuster show fully-loaded with industry news, unveilings, introductions and announcements that will continue to drive our industry forward."

This year’s E3 Expo 2009 T-Shirt Contest was won Christine Sununu from New Hampshire, and her design will be on sale at the site, with a portion of the proceeds going to the Midnight Mission, a Los Angeles-based organization for the homeless.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is getting a game-changing update later this year

Baldur's Gate 3 will finally get official modding support this September when Larian Studios releases Patch 7.

The developer confirmed this news in its latest community update on the Steam page for Baldur's Gate 3. Although this patch is a few months out, Larian announced it early because it wants to beta test what it's calling the "Baldur's Gate 3 Toolkit" prior to a wide release. It's inviting popular modders to test out the toolkit this month and will hold a bigger closed beta that supports 1,000 players in July.

Behaviour Interactive is committed to growing Dead by Daylight as a franchise. That much is clear given that three spinoff games from the multiplayer horror hit were shown off during a live stream today. One of them is even out now.

All three games were shown during Dead by Daylight's 8th anniversary stream, where Behaviour Interactive also revealed the horror game's new 2v8 mode. In addition to the base game's new updates, the Dead by Daylight universe will expand with three games: Project T, The Casting of Frank Stone, and What the Fog.
