El Matador Shoots Up the PC

2WG Media, a subsidiary of Red Mile Entertainment, has shipped its new PC action game El Matador to North American retailers.

El Matador places players in the role of a DEA agent Victor Corbet, who’s knee-deep in a South American drug war and charged with the task of taking down drug barons and their cartels. Developed by Plastic Realities, the game features a “movie-like” plot, AI-driven teammates, an enormous arsenal of weapons, and interactive environment with destructible objects, and real physics simulations with ragdoll effects.

El Matador will more than satisfy gamers looking for an exhilarating third-person shooter,” said Chester Aldridge, CEO of 2WG’s parent company, Red Mile Entertainment. “The story of corruption, revenge, moral ambiguity and ultimate justice will unfold as players are immersed into a thrilling, but dangerous journey.”

El Matador is priced at $29.99 and wants at Windows XP with at least a 1.5 GHz Pentium 3 and 512 MB of RAM; better off with a 3GHz+ Pentium 4 or AMD Athlon, 1 GB of RAM, and a 256 MB AGP graphic card. El Matador is rated “M” for mature by the ESRB.

Another huge game is set to hit Macs soon. CD Projekt Red announced that Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition, which comes with the Phantom Liberty DLC, will be the latest AAA title to be playable on Apple Silicon.

CD Projekt Red didn't have a lot of information to share, but it's targeting a 2025 release and will support features like path tracing, which offers a similar effect as ray tracing, frame generation for increased frame rates, and built-in spatial audio. It'll be available on the Mac App Store and Steam. If you own a copy of the game for PC on Steam, it'll carry over to your Mac. The studio will have more details at a later date.

Arcade1Up Attack from Mars pinball cabinet

By now, Arcade1Up needs no introduction. They offer a wide variety of retro arcade cabinets that you can easily install in your home. They're fantastic. Want to know how I know? I own several, including the multi-player TMNT cabinet and the legacy Mortal Kombat cabinet. But enough about me and my collection. What I really brought you here for was to share that Dell, yes Dell of all places, has some fantastic deals on Arcade1Up cabinets. I only say that because it's a far cry from their usual Dell XPS deals and Dell laptop deals. Back to the Arcade1Up cabinets, by comparing these deal prices to some of the other retailers, Dell has the best discounts for some of these. They make some great holiday gifts, too, if you want to stock up before the end of the season.
