Feast your eyes on Transistor’s gorgeous cyberpunk future in this launch trailer

Supergiant Games, developer of the critically-acclaimed Bastion, has released a launch trailer for its follow-up effort, TransistorThe video shows off the sci-fi action-RPG’s hybrid of real-time and turn-based combat wherein protagonist Red fills up an action meter to pause the game so she can plan out a series of attacks to execute in super speed. If this unique gameplay mechanic isn’t enough to attract you, the video also features Supergiant’s beautiful art design.

Bastion, the studio’s debut effort, was a huge, multi-platform successTransistor looks to be building on all of its predecessor’s strengths to make something even bigger. You can measure it against the hype for yourself when it launches on Steam and PlayStation 4 on May 20.

Amazon rolls out New World combat trailer; closed beta to launch in July

Amazon Game Studios has rolled out a combat trailer for New World, the upcoming MMORPG that's set to launch in closed beta in July before its planned August release.

The combat trailer, which was featured in the PC Gaming Show, showcased some of the weapons, skills, and spells that New World players will be able to wield, as well as some of the opponents that they may face -- from fellow humans to gruesome monsters.

Ubisoft quietly confirmed new details on Assassin's Creed Infinity, a hub that's set to launch alongside Assassin's Creed Shadows, on the franchise's official Reddit on Friday. It not only revealed that Animus Hub would be the official name, but that the rewards would be free.

The post was in response to a datamined leak (since taken down via DMCA request) that purportedly revealed a lot of information about the Animus Hub and how it would integrate with Assassin's Creed Shadows. Along with revealing the new name, we learned that the Animus Hub would include a battle pass with cosmetics that can be purchased with Isu Coins, the in-game currency. This led to people assuming that there would be microtransactions involved.
