Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 1 is officially out, and it brings a new Japanese-themed island, full of different biomes and a whopping 18 unique POIs, each proving to be a promising landing spot for players to choose from. The season also revamps the entire loot pool and adds new weapons such as Katanas, Hitscan guns, Oni Masks, and so on.

But something that was most well-received by players was this season’s Battle Pass, which was full of original characters who are cosmetic outfits. However, despite that the new Fortnite season has also introduced a massive collab with the King of Monsters, Godzilla, where players can easily claim the skin and will soon witness the beast himself on the island.

Fortnite Godzilla skin release date and how to get

The Godzilla skin in Fortnite is called Godzilla Evolved, and it is included in the Chapter 6, Season 1: Demon Hunters pass as a secret skin. Once you’re on the Passes screen, you’ll see a Battle Pass tile on the bottom left.

Click on that tile and the Battle Pass menu page will pop up. On that page, you’ll see a Godzilla rewards page that consists of over 10 cosmetic items, all of which will be unlocked on January 17. Once unlocked, players will need to complete a certain set of quests to unlock items on that page like they currently do in their Battle Pass. You can also enable the Auto Claim option, which will automatically claim all the items as you level up in Fortnite.

The Godzilla Evolved skin features a crimson Radioactive Glow on the back of the monster, and fans love that the skin supports Kicks, meaning many players will be able to sport their favorite shoes on the monster’s feet. Some leaks have even re-created iconic memes from Godzilla comic strips including the infamous Basketball Dunk shot with Jordans on.

Furthermore, the new Battle Pass will set you back 1,000 V-Bucks since the new pricing model has effectively kicked in. However, if you earn XP in any of the Fortnite experiences, you’ll linearly progress along all your passes. As of yet, other cosmetic items included under the Godzilla Rewards haven’t been revealed but we’ll update this article once the info is out.

Fortnite is finally getting a first-person mode next week
Key art for Fortnite's new first person shooter mode Ballistic.

Fortnite Ballistic, the long-awaited first-person mode for Epic Games' hit battle royale shooter Fortnite, will finally come to the game on December 11.

Epic Games first teased a first-person Fortnite mode in March, but now we have a clearer idea of how it will play. Ballistic is a round-based 5v5 mode with no respawns, similar to competitive shooters like Valorant or Spectre Divide. A team of attackers fights to plant and detonate a Rift Point Device in certain spots on the map, while defenders fight to eliminate the other team before they can do the same. While attackers and defenders will swap their roles after six rounds, Ballistic matches are a best-of-seven affair across both ranked and unranked play.
