When it comes to making the most of the environmental visuals in the PlayStation 4’s upcoming exclusive, Infamous: Second Son, developer Sucker Punch has something of an advantage. The game is set in Seattle, WA, not far from the dev’s headquarters in the suburb of Bellvue, and that personal experience will be seen in the game.

The PlayStation 4 offers several advantages in terms of graphics, all of which will help to make the digital version of Seattle more realistic. It tends to rain there in real life – a lot – and that creates a series of unique environmental challenges. The rain itself is a technical feat, and with the PS4’s GPU, the devs are able to take what we’ve seen before one step further. Once the rain dissipates, puddles remain. When the conditions are right, fog hangs over the city. When the sun appears following a shower, you’ll squint your eyes at the flare.

Check out the video below for more detail on how Sucker Punch recreated Seattle for the PS4.

Like the previous games in the series, Infamous: Second Son will be a PlayStation exclusive when it’s released on March 21, 2014.

We're finally learning more about Starfield's first major expansion just weeks ahead of release, and it won't just be more story.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Bethesda Game Studios revealed that the new planet for the Shattered Space expansion, known as Va'ruun'kai, will have 50 new locations to explore. We know of one location already: Dazra, a city on the planet that serves as the location for House Va'ruun. Learning more about this religious faction -- set up in the base game as something of a mystery -- and what happened to it is the main goal in Shattered Space. It'll overall take place in a new part of space that players haven't gotten to experience yet.

A person looking at the Roblox mobile app on their phone.

Roblox announced a series of user-oriented changes at its Roblox Developers Conference on Friday, including updates to Roblox usage and how much revenue creators can earn with their "experiences," along with a new communication system for users and new ways to sell products on the platform.

Roblox is hoping to usher more money toward users. One way is by offering new ways for creators to optimize pricing inside their experiences. A new Price Optimization tool will run tests to find the best pricing strategy, while the company will experiment with regional pricing. Elsewhere, Roblox will soon allow creators to sell physical merchandise inside their experiences. Previously, everything has been virtual, like with how the Beetlejuice Beetlejuice partner collaboration let people buy digital tickets through Fandango.
