New trailer heralds the arrival of Bloodborne on February 6, 2015

A new trailer for Bloodborne debuted at the Tokyo Game Show, and it confirmed release date of February 6 for the PlayStation 4 exclusive gothic horror action RPG from Dark Souls creator Hidetaka Miyazaki. The trailer features some unseen examples of the game’s intricate environments and brutal combat against grotesque creatures, as well as more hints at the game’s multiplayer modes.

A post on the PlayStation Blog has also revealed the Collector’s Edition, available now for pre-order. The limited edition includes a Steelbook game case, art book, digital soundtrack, and of course the game itself. Pre-ordering the game will net you a special DLC addition of an exclusive, alternate skin for your Messengers–creepy skeletal figures that pop out of the ground bearing giant scrolls that are connected to the game’s asynchronous multiplayer features.

Bloodborne expands upon Miyazaki’s groundbreaking work in action RPGs from Dark Souls, turning up the heat for combat that is more aggressive than the other franchise’ measured survival focus, though no less punishing. It comes exclusively to PlayStation 4 on Feburary 6, 2015. You can check out some extended gameplay footage here.

Sea Spider boss guide

When prepping your AC for this fight, we suggest slapping on a pair of Gatling guns for your arms and twin Songbirds for your shoulder weapons. The Songbirds are there to inflict as much stagger as possible in the shortest amount of time, which you can then follow up with the consistent damage of your Gatlings. The only other thing to make sure to have is your own set of spider legs. During the boss's second phase, you will want to be able to stay airborne.

Balteus boss guide

Why will Balteus give you so much trouble? This is the first boss with a shield, and it can unleash what feels like an impossible amount of missiles upon you. When entering this fight, it is important that you have something that can quickly deal with its shields, such as a pulse gun or strong assault rifle, plus something on your shoulders like missile launchers for when it's time to deal direct damage.

A mecha fights a giant mechanical worm in Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon.

FromSoftware has had a long history with many franchises, such as the early Kingsfield games that transitioned into the Dark Souls series, and it now returns to its mecha franchise with Armored Core 6. Despite how different and disconnected these franchises may be, every FromSoftware game of this type has one signature weapon included. The Moonlight Greatsword, or in this case, the IA-CO1W2: Moonlight, is typically one of the best weapons in the games it appears in, and is at the very least worth finding in Armored Core 6.
