Today, Microsoft announced it has shipped the anticipated Ninety-Nine Nights fantasy action game for the Xbox 360 to retailers across North America. The game was developed by Korea’s Phantagram and Q Entertainment, Ninety-Nine Nights,, or N3, represents a collaboration between action-game designers Tetsuya Mizuguchi (Lumines,Meteos) and SangYoun Lee (Kingdom Under Fire). Ninety-Nine Nights was released to Korean and Japanese markets earlier this year to critical praise; today’s launch marks the game’s official debut in North America.
In Ninety-Nine Nights, players take can take on one of seven unique warrior characters as they lead armies to bring peace to their war-torn land (Yeah, because leading armies always brings peace!) after the destruction of the “mysterious power stone.” N3 features massive-scale combat featuring hundreds of onscreen enemies, gorgeously detailed graphics and physics, and an engrossing, dramatic story which unfolds from seven different perspectives. Oh, and, naturally, there are more than 100 different weapons, magic spells, numeous fighting styles, and constantly evolving virtual opponents. Go nuts. Ninety-Nine Nights is a single-player game, but it offers Dolby 5.1 surround and 720p resolution, so its not like you’d miss other players while awash in its sense-overloading experience, right>
Ninety-Nine Nights is rated M for Mature (sorry, kids), and is priced at $49.99.
