A modder dressed up Laura from 'Street Fighter V' as the new 'Overwatch' heroine

Overwatch roster in October. She’s dressed in an ensemble of purple, blue, and gray hues, and a hairdo that resembles another female character in a very different video game: Street Fighter V. Yes, we’re talking about Laura.

Thanks to their visual similarities, one modder decided to bring Sombra into the popular fighting game on the PC. Created by THEJAMK, the Street Fighter V mod first appeared on the Patreon website and then on YouTube after that, showing Sombra fighting against her clone bare-handed, no machine pistol in sight. The mod is merely cosmetic, so don’t expect new skills to use against the other Street Fighter V characters.

“I’m not exactly proud of the animation in the clothes, but I think it’s not that bad,” the modder said. “The colors are not exactly the same as the original because I wanted the alternative colors to work. And it is somewhat difficult since the character has degraded colors.”

Sombra is offered to Street Fighter V players on the PC as a 40.4MB PAK file. The best way to install this mod may be to use the latest version of Mod Manager for the game, located here. Users will also need to create a directory for the PAK file such as StreetFighterV\Content\Paks, and have the game installed on the root drive rather than in program files to prevent Windows from refusing read/write access.

Street Fighter V’s Laura is packed with a number of basic moves, special moves, and unique attacks. Her special moves consist of Bolt Charge, Split River, Rodeo Break, Thunder Clap, and Sunset Wheel. Her unique attacks consist of Step Elbow, Twist Barrage, and Dual Crash, whereas her critical art move is called the Inazuma Spin Hold. The new Sombra mod uses all of these in a glorious purple flying fury on screen.

This isn’t the only Street Fighter V mod created by THEJAMK. Other mods include an “elegant” look for Vega, a new dress for Laura, a character called Shelia to replace Dhalsim, Iron Woman Kazuki, and more. This modder, it seems, really likes to play around with the Street Fighter V characters. Unfortunately, these mods do not work on the console versions of Capcom’s fighting game.

Street Fighter V landed on Steam for $60 in February. For those itching for a fighting game and want to check out the Sombra mod, here is what it takes to run the game on PC:

How to stealth kill in Stalker 2
Key art for Stalker 2. A character in a lit-up gas mask and a gun on their back.

It won't take long before The Zone teaches you one very important tip for surviving in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, which is to avoid fighting whenever possible. You can only carry so many resources, and prolonged fights can leave you with almost nothing left. And that's if you even manage to survive. There are some fights you just can't get around, though, but going in guns blazing isn't the best strategy. There's a handy stealth kill mechanic in Stalker 2, but you won't find it in any of the tutorials.
How to stealth kill in Stalker 2

You have the ability to stealth kill right off the bat, though it is not something the game will ever explain or tell you. It works how you would think, but is tricky enough to pull off that you might not think it's possible even if you try the right thing.
