Evolve, the monster-vs.-hunters game from Left 4 Dead developer Turtle Rock Studios, is coming soon to PlayStation 4, Windows, and Xbox One. The developer has shared the minimum and recommended PC specifications so you can find out whether your rig has what it takes to join the hunt, or if it needs to undergo a little forced evolution itself in order to take part.

Not having a 64-bit operating system is a deal-breaker, but the  minimum specs are otherwise forgiving, asking at minimum for graphics cards that were mid-range in 2011, and thus should not break the bank today if you need an upgrade.

If you’re not sure whether your PC has what it takes, the developer suggests using Nvidia’s GPU analyzer to check. The post also confirms that the game will support 4K displays at launch, though not yet Nvidia’s Scalable Link Interface multi-GPU processing, for which Turtle Rock is working to add support at a later date.

Evolve comes out on PS4, Windows, and Xbox One on February 10. Xbox One owners can get an early taste of the action with an open beta that runs from January 15 to 19.

Back 4 Blood gets offline solo play and new cards next month
The Breaker towers over common zombies in Back 4 Blood.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment just released a Back 4 Blood road map of updates slated for later this year and into the next. The publisher tweeted out these end-of-year plans for the zombie multiplayer, with small details on soon-to-come features and content.

This month's updates mostly include quality-of-life improvements and major bug fixes. December introduces fresh features like supply lines, a Ridden Practice area, and a solo offline mode with campaign progression. This winter update also incorporates new card types and cards into the game's card system, which should mix up the meta as it is now.

How to remove attachments in Back 4 Blood
The Hag in Back 4 Blood.

Zombie games have been experimenting with all the different guns, weapons, and improvised methods of destruction developers can think of to spice up the act of popping undead heads. Back 4 Blood is among the more tame examples, sticking with tried and true guns and melee weapons for the most part, but doesn't leave you without any options to customize things a bit. Aside from the different guns themselves, there are multiple different attachments you can use to modify how your gun functions in different ways. Each gun has four slots you can place attachments into that will change things like damage, ammo capacity, and more.

Finding a weapon attachment is one thing, and it's another to find one that fits with your current gun, but what is never explained at all is how you can remove an attachment once you slot it into your gun of choice. Because there isn't a menu option for this function, and no tutorial or explanation anywhere in the game, many would rightfully assume that once an attachment is put on a gun, you're stuck with it. However, that's not completely true. While it is a bit of a workaround, and hopefully Turtle Rock adds a more reliable function for removing attachments, here's how you can remove an attachment in Back 4 Blood.
