Sony Bundles up Metal-Blue PSP for Madden

If PSPs decked out with graphics from Star Wars, Spiderman, and God of War haven’t tickled your sports-loving fancy, perhaps Sony’s latest attempt, a Madden-themed system, will be just the ticket. Sony announced on Wednesday that the August release of Madden 09 on PSP will bring with it its own PSP bundle with a metallic-blue PSP and other goodies.

The package will include the special-edition PSP system, a copy of Madden NFL 09, a voucher to download Beats for free from the PlayStation store, a 1GB Memory Stick Pro Duo card, and the movie NFL: In Just One Play on Universal Media Disc. The movie, hosted by NFL receiver Chad Johnson, showcases legends including Randy Moss, Reggie Wayne, Larry Fitzgerald, and more.

When it’s released on August 12, the bundle will sell for $199.99, which Sony claims is $60 cheaper than buying up each piece separately.

Do your dailies

We'll get the most obvious tip out of the way first. Daily challenges are back and work just as they always have. Every 24 hours you will be given a handful of small optional tasks to complete for a heap of bonus XP. These can be things like getting Scorestreak kills, getting Point Blank Kills, and getting kills with a specific weapon type. Most daily challenges are worth 2,500 XP, which is already a nice bonus, but there is also a fourth one that can be worth between 3,000 and 5,000 additional XP. Each day you log on, you should prioritize your daily challenges.
