I am Bread is one slice of bread’s epic quest to become toast

Bossa Studios, creator of the joyously awkward Surgeon Simulator, is back with I am Bread, a physics-based bread simulator. According to the video description from the developer’s tweet, I am Bread is “the beautiful story of one slice of bread’s epic and emotional journey as it embarks upon a quest to become toasted.”

Note the loaf-humping at the 45-second mark.

Gameplay appears to sit somewhere between Octodad and Katamari Damacywith buttons mapped to all four corners of the bread slice. You flop your way around the house trying to maximize “Deliciousness” by getting toasted and buttered. All while keeping “Edibility” as high as possible, which means you need to avoid picking up too much garbage, Katamari-style. And it all unfolds under a time limit.

There is no word yet on platform(s) and a release date, but the studio has previously started with Linux, Mac, and Windows before expanding to other platforms.

Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet: everything we know so far

When you look at the best PlayStation 5 games, or even a list of the best video games of all time, odds are you will see at least one game from developer Naughty Dog. Our list of upcoming video games was already stacked prior to The Game Awards 2024, but the last announcement of the night added one more to the list that might beat out other heavy hitters like Ghost of Yotei and Wolverine. As this is coming from Naughty Dog, this is already one of our most anticipated upcoming PS5 game, but others might need more convincing. We took out a bounty on all the information there is on Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet and this is what we came up with.

If you don't have a PS5, there are plenty of upcoming Xbox Series X, upcoming PC, and upcoming Switch games, too.

Marvel Rivals devs say cross-progression is coming, but not soon
Teams of marvel heroes flying towards each other.

Marvel Rivals is off to a flying start and has crossplay right out of the gate, but the game is still missing a few key features. Currently, each platform has different progression tracking. NetEase Games says that cross-progression is under active development, but it could still be a long way off.

Tracking progression across multiple platforms involves a bit of technical wizardry. It took four years for a feature like that to come to Apex Legends, so we have our fingers crossed it won't take that long to reach Marvel Rivals.
