Episode 3, The Sword in the Darkness”, picks up where February’s “The Lost Lords” left off. The Forresters are down, but not out, and mourning the recent passing of a few too many lords. Exiled brother Asher is on his way home, but it’s a long way from Essos to Ironrath, and the teased image implies he may have to deal with the Mother of Dragons in some way before he makes it back home to Westeros.

The fastest ways to level up in Throne and Liberty
A group of fantasy warriors fighting a golem in Throne and Liberty.

While Throne and Liberty has a lot of unique aspects to it, such as being classless and allowing you to freely change your role by just swapping weapons, it still sticks to many of the tried and true tropes of MMORPGs. Leveling up your character is one aspect that will be familiar to anyone, and the ultimate goal will be to hit the max level as fast as you can. The game will get you hooked by handing out levels like candy in the first few hours, but then the grind sets in. There are a lot of different things you can do to earn XP, but not all of them are the best bang for your buck if your goal is to be as efficient as possible leveling up. These are the fastest ways to grind levels in Throne and Liberty.
The fastest ways to level up in Throne and Liberty

Leveling up is a simple process of earning XP just like a traditional RPG. Alongside increasing your character's stats, you also get rewards along the way in the Leveling Log, so don't forget to claim those as you grind.
Complete the main story
It should come as no surprise that the main story quests are the most lucrative source of XP in Throne and Liberty. These are generally quick and dump enough XP for you to take on the next one in most cases, but eventually will hit a few walls. These are especially important to focus on in the early game because you're let loose long before all the mechanics and features of the game are unlocked. They will also open up new activities and ways to earn XP once you run out of them or feel like changing things up.
Do Appendix Quests as they unlock
Speaking of those new features, Appendix Quests occasionally appear between story missions as branches on the chart in the Codex. These are glorified tutorials on the new mechanics or features the game introduced during the story to give you a better understanding of them. Even if you fully understand them, doing the quests is a fast and easy way to get a quick shot of XP and rewards.

2 critically acclaimed indies are coming to Game Pass this month
Sifu's main character at age 70 in Sifu.

Xbox is kicking off October with three new games coming to Game Pass, along with two from the Ultimate tier getting added to the Standard tier, the first time the company has had to make that distinction.

Inscryption and Sifu, two standout indie titles from 2021 and 2022, respectively, are absolutely worth checking out when they hit Game Pass this month. Sifu, coming on October 2, is a third-person beat 'em up with a twist: every time you die, you get resurrected as an older version of yourself. This brings some advantages, like new skills, but your health decreases. Sifu is less about defeating waves of enemies and more about improving as you go, becoming something of a kung fu master.

Overwatch 2 is now on Xbox Game Pass, and it comes with perks
Overwatch 2 skins: Cardboard Reinhardt, Turtleship D.Va, Cyberdragon Hanzo, Street Runner Genji, Bee Mercy, and Cleric Lifeweaver

Blizzard Entertainment surprise dropped Overwatch 2 on Xbox Game Pass on Tuesday, despite the game being free to play and already on Xbox.

You might find this to be a strange addition, but as a Blizzard blog post specifies, this is more about encouraging players to link their Battle.net and Xbox accounts. As a reward, players that do so will receive six exclusive skins: Cardboard Reinhardt, Turtleship D.Va, Cyberdragon Hanzo, Street Runner Genji, Bee Mercy, and Cleric Lifeweaver. (The image of a Reinhardt in a cardboard suit is delightful.) Players will also get 30 Mythic Prisms that they can use in the Mythic Shop for other skins.
