Video game developer Atari has shipped its Test Drive Unlimited racing game for the Xbox 360 console system, bringing more than 90 vehicles and Massively Open Online Racing ("M.O.O.R.") to Xbox Live.
Testing Drive Unlimited offers racers a selection of 90 cars and bikes licensed from exclusive manufacturers and enables players to customize their functions as well as interior and exterior details, and enables players to go wherever they choose in more than 1,000 miles of diverse, Hawaiian terrain whether in a challenging single-player mode or by going online with M.O.O.R., enabling players to interact with thousands of players, pick opponents, and race against them in real time. Test Drive Unlimited comes with a free trial for Xbox Live Gold membership good for 48 hours.
"Atari has primed the gaming pump with Test Drive Unlimited," said Nique Fajors, Atari’s VP of Sales and Marketing, in a release. "No other racing game comes close to what Test Drive Unlimited offers. The game’s features, including an open, persistent environment, thousands of miles to explore, hundreds of gameplay hours, and over 350 multiplayer and solo challenges, coupled with an unprecedented mix of high-end cars and bikes, make Test Drive Unlimited a true model of next-generation gaming."
Test Drive Unlimited also features character personalization and customization options; in addition, new car packs featuring half a dozen or more additional vehicles for use in the game will be available for download every month.
Test Drive Unlimited for Xbox 360 is rated E10+ (10 years and up) by the MSRB and carries a North American suggested retail price of $39.99.
