Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception Trophy list appears online

Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception isn’t out in North America until November 1, but a newly revealed Trophy list for the PlayStation 3-exclusive title from Naughty Dog will hopefully tide the more rabid fans among you over with its details and its spoilers. The list was captured by BroGamer (via CVG) at the recent Eurogamer Expo, where a demo version of the game was on display.

There are 55 Trophies in all, though one of them appears to be the PS3-standard Platinum Trophy that you get for collecting all of the other ones. It’s interesting to note that almost none of the Trophies appear to be story-related, other than the difficulty-specific “beat the game [X] setting” Bronze ones. Most everything else requires players to dispatch a certain number of enemies using a particular weapon and environmental object, or collecting Treasures. A few other, random tasks mix things up a bit, but all in all there are few surprises to be found on Uncharted 3‘s Trophy list.

16.Blindfire Marksman (Bronze) – Defeat 20 enemies by blind-firing while in cover (without aiming with L1)
17.Run-and-Gunner (Bronze) – Defeat 20 enemies by shooting from the hip (without aiming with L1)
18.Hangman (Bronze) – Defeat 20 enemies with gunfire by aiming while hanging

45.Ride the Crocodile (Bronze) – Stand on the crocodile in the Secret Library
46.He’s Gonna Need a Sturgeon (Bronze) – Hit three enemies with fish in the market
47.Marco Solo (Bronze) – Play in the swimming pool on the Cruise Ship
48.Truck Brawler (Bronze) – Defeat 10 enemies using hand-to-hand combat on the back of the convoy trucks

Sony is reversing its plans to shut down the PS Vita and PS3 digital storefronts following feedback from the community. Sony does still plan to "retire" PSP commerce functionality on July 2, 2021.

In a post on the PlayStation Blog, Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO and President Jim Ryan explains the company made "the wrong decision." He goes on to say that, "when we initially came to the decision to end purchasing support for PS3 and PS Vita, it was born out of a number of factors, including commerce support challenges for older devices and the ability for us to focus more of our resources on newer devices where a majority of our gamers are playing on.

PS3 players reportedly unable to download key game patches ahead of store shutdowns

Following Sony's announcement that it will be shutting down the PlayStation 3 storefront later this summer, fans are now reporting that they're unable to download essential patches for certain PS3 games.

Sony recently confirmed that it will be shutting down its PS3, PS Vita, and PSP stores later this year, making it impossible to purchase new digital games across those storefronts. Sony explains that users will still be able to re-download any digital purchases made through the store, but they will be unable to buy new games following the closures.
