Sony’s flagship Uncharted franchise will return in March with Uncharted 4, which will hit retail in two separate special edition packages.
Uncharted 4, the first PlayStation 4 entry in the series, directly follows up on the storyline introduced in a trilogy of Uncharted releases seen on the PlayStation 3.
The Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End Special Edition, priced at $80, bundles a copy of the game with a hardcover art book, a sticker sheet, and a limited-edition Steelbook case. The package also includes a digital code redeemable for Naughty Dog Points, which players can spend on multiplayer content via an in-game store.
The Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End Libertalia Collector’s Edition, available for $120, offers all content bundled with the Special Edition along with a 12-inch Nathan Drake statue designed by Gentle Giant. The Libertalia Collector’s Edition additionally boasts an exclusive collection of in-game content, including multiplayer outfits (Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Heist Drake, and Desert Drake), weapon skins (Golden Weapon and Desert Weapon), a Henry Avery Sigil ball cap character accessory, and a pair of Madagascar Sidekick outfits.
Players who opt for the downloadable version of Uncharted 4 can pick up the $80 Digital Deluxe Edition, which grants Season Pass-styled access to a variety of upcoming digital content. Users who purchase the Digital Deluxe Edition will get a single-player story add-on for Uncharted 4 in the months after the game’s launch, along with a handful of multiplayer content and customization packs.
All early buyers, physical and digital alike, will receive the Pre-Order Bonus Pack free of charge, supplementing the base game with the Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune multiplayer outfit, the Golden Weapon customization, and a pack of Naughty Dog Points.
Sony is also offering a bevy of retailer-specific pre-order incentives for Uncharted 4. GameStop customers get an exclusive multiplayer taunt and a package of single-use items as part of the Multiplayer Booster Pack. Amazon buyers receive the Snow Camo weapon skin and the Desert Drake outfit, while pre-ordering directly from the PlayStation Store gets you an Uncharted 4 Dynamic Theme and the Desert Weapon skin for multiplayer.
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End hits retail on March 18, 2016.
