Warhammer Dawn of War II Ships for PCs

Game publisher THQ has announced that Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II has shipped for Windows PCs. Based on the popular tabletop boardgame from Games Workshop, Dawn of War II extends THQ’s Warhammer real-time strategy (RTS) and combat franchise by combining both a non-linear single-player game with cooperative multiplayer campaigns via MIcrosoft’s free Games for Windows Live service. Dawn of War II aims to appeal to both RTS veterans and new players by getting people into the action quickly, while also adding destructible environments, new weapons, and shifting stories—and, unlike many RTS games that involve manipulating massive armies and resources, Dawn of War II focuses on small squads an individually customized units.

Dawn of War II offers a unique single-player experience with branching story lines, unit customization, and deep tactical gameplay,” said Relic Entertainment general manager Tarrnie Williams, in a statement. “It also offers all new multiplayer and co-op modes that take the tactical gameplay to an all new level. Once gamers play Dawn of War II, it might be hard to go back to the old model.”

If you want to buy Horizon Zero Dawn on Steam, you have to buy its remaster

As we get closer to the release of Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, it's become more and more difficult to purchase the original Complete Edition of the game. This week, it's starting to be delisted from digital PC storefronts.

It was first removed from the Epic Games Store, as some ResetEra users reported earlier this week. While the store page is still live, the buy button has been grayed out and just reads "unavailable." There also isn't a link to purchase the remaster from this page, although you can find it through search and preorder it ahead of its October 31 release date.

Star Wars Outlaws is a unique departure from some of the more traditional game genres Star Wars has steeped itself in. And while the series’ latest PS5 and Xbox Series X/S entry is well worth the gaming hours, the fact that it’s still a new title means you can expect to pay $70 for quite some time.

That being said, there’s never been a better time to save money on some slightly older Star Wars games. As a matter of fact, while looking through Best Buy deals, we saw that the PS5 and Xbox X/S versions of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor have been discounted to $30. There are also plenty of other great Star Wars games on the market, including Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.

Ubisoft revealed a new short-term road map on Friday for Star Wars Outlaws following a surprise announcement that it would be overhauling its development process because of weak sales.

A Ubisoft spokesperson called the Outlaws launch "softer than expected" in a statement to investors earlier this week, and promised that it would be implementing updates to polish the game and "improve the player experience" in the hopes it'll sell more copies this holiday season.
