Xbox Entertainment Studios is looking to expand its upcoming programming with a new untitled scripted comedy about former pro skaters, according to Deadline. The show marks the first script purchased by Xbox Entertainment, and is written by How to Make it in America’s Ian Edelman.

The project joins two other live action shows in development at Xbox Entertainment. The first is Steven Spielberg’s live action Halo series, which was revealed during the Xbox One’s unveiling. The second is Every Street United, an unscripted reality show spanning eight 30 minute episodes, with each episode focusing on street soccer in a different country.

The scripted series will be presented in 30 minute episodes, and focus on the lives of four ex-pro skaters living together in Los Angeles. Beyond that, not much is known yet regarding the new series. Edelman will act as showrunner and skater-turned-TV personality Rob Dyrdek is attached as executive producer. No air date has been mentioned, but expect more news, including casting, in the coming months.

A new black Xbox headset floating on a gray background.

Microsoft has announced some upgrades to its Xbox Wireless Headset on Tuesday, with improved audio, better battery life, and an upgraded microphone for $110, which is $10 more than its predecessor. And it's available to buy now.

Xbox calls this a "refresh" in the announcement post on its website, and indeed it doesn't change up a lot in terms of design. The only significant difference is that it no longer sports a green ring around the earcups. Instead, it opts for an all-black look.

South Park The Fractured But Whole

While the first half of October was fairly light on new Xbox Game Pass additions, the back half of the month is a lot more exciting. Of course, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is the month's biggest release, but that's still a week away. Meanwhile, this week saw two great RPGs and an excellent indie game hit Microsoft's subscription service. If you're wondering what you should be playing this weekend, all three of these new Xbox Game Pass additions are worthy of your time.
South Park: The Fractured But Whole
South Park: The Fractured But Whole Gameplay Trailer - Gamescom 2016

While this year's South Park: Snow Day was a disappointment, the two Ubisoft-published games that preceded it narratively are stellar. One of those, the superhero-themed South Park: The Fractured But Whole, just came to Xbox Game Pass. This game perfectly captures the handcrafted look of the show with its art and the franchise's crass humor through its increasingly ridiculous story about Cartman, a new kid, and their other friends pretending to be superheroes. It's a surprisingly well-made grid-based tactical RPG, making it a significantly better game than it may seem on the surface.
