Currently, EA Access members can download and play free Xbox One versions of EA-published games like Dragon Age: Inquisition, Peggle 2, and Need for Speed Rivals. Online shooters are a particular focus for the program, as subscribers additionally receive free access to Battlefield 4, Titanfall, and Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare.

Several legacy sports games are also part of the package, including Madden NFL 15, FIFA 15, NHL 15, EA Sports UFC, NBA Live 15, FIFA 14, and Madden NFL 25. Launched in 2014, EA Access offers membership packages priced at $5 monthly. A year-long subscription is available for $30.

In addition to its slate of free games, EA Access also gives subscribers an early look at upcoming games days or weeks before they’re officially released. Downloadable versions of early-access games can be played for free up until their retail launch, after which EA Access members can buy them at a discount and resume their progress immediately.

EA Access also gives an instant 10-percent discount on all Electronic Arts-published content in the Xbox One Games Store, including pre-orders, expansion packs, and DLC.

The Xbox One FIFA 16 hardware bundle is available for $400 from the Microsoft Store, where it includes a bonus Xbox One digital copy of Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Unity free of charge. The full bundle, minus Assassin’s Creed Unity, is also available at Amazon.

The Xbox One S offers a sleek, compact, and 4K video-capable alternative to the original Xbox One, which has been discontinued. With multiple bundles sporting a variety of storage capacities and packed-in games, the Xbox One S is a great option for anyone looking to pick up an Xbox system for the first time. With bundles available for about $300 for the 1TB version and one game, it's also one of the most affordable consoles on the market today. Should you opt for the slick One S or grab a vintage Xbox One from a yard sale? Considering that the native 4K-capable, ultra-powerful Xbox One X console launched in 2017, the answer to that question really depends on your pocket depth and your eagerness to adopt the latest and greatest tech.

And, with the Xbox Series X and Series S having just released, players who want to join the next generation might want to hold off on purchasing any form of Xbox One. What might be even more enticing to Xbox One S buyers is the Xbox Series S -- an affordable, all-digital version of the Series X. If you are in the market for an Xbox One, however, here's an in-depth comparison between the Xbox One and Xbox One S.

Xbox One S vs. Xbox One X

Microsoft has officially discontinued the Xbox One X and Xbox One S, focusing its manufacturing on the newly released Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. That said, it's possible to find stock of Xbox One consoles available (or possibly new versions left over) at certain retailers, and considering the Series X|S is still nearly impossible to find right now, you may want to buy one of Microsoft's last-gen consoles at a discount for the time being.

Between the Xbox One X, Xbox One S, and the original, previously discontinued Xbox One, there's a big difference between their respective hardware specs, processing power, supported display resolutions, and prices that you should consider before making a purchase. They all run the same games, but how well those games run couldn't be more different across the machines.
