Mitsubishi Intros Laser Tech TVIf you think HD is the be-all and end-all in television, Mitsubishi’s new offering, unveiled at this year’s CES, might make you think again.   The company introduced a large-format LaserTV and claims it delivers twice the color of HD TVs.   The company claims thathigh-definition televisions display less than 40% of the color spectrum available to the eye, but that their laser technology doubles that figure.   "Mitsubishi has delivered significanttechnology innovations in the large-format television arena, and the debut of LaserTV further strengthens our position and track record for HDTV leadership ," said Frank DeMartin, vicepresident, marketing, at Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America.   "LaserTV technology creates a portal to an intensely real and vivid world ­ beyond ordinary flat TV. It’s a truedimension experience."   They also say that their laser TVs will be capable of deliver a 3D viewing experience, and proceeded to demonstrate it at the product launch. The units will shiplater this year, and can be wall-mounted.
