Olevia Adds Three New Full-HD LCD Sets

For those who crave big screens but don’t exactly have big budgets to match, Syntax-Brillian’s Olevia brand has long represented a less expensive route into the market for flat-screen HDTVs. Its three newest models, The Olevia 265TFHD. Olevia 252TFHD and Olevia 247TFHD live up to that reputation by offering the same features as – and in some case the same parts as – brand name sets, but significantly lower prices.

The 65-inch and 47-inch models both offer thin, updated bezels, built-in Clear QAM HD tuners and firmware that can be upgraded through a USB connection. Each set gets two HDMI connectors, two component, two S-video, two composite and one VGA input, plus RS232 control for control through a network or home automation. The 65-inch model uses a Sharp LCD panel, putting it in the same league as Sharp’s own AQUOS LCD sets. Details on the new 52-inch set were not included in Olevia’s announcement.

Technics’ new wireless earbuds let you connect three devices at once
Technics EAH-AZ80 in black.

Technics has released two new models of noise-canceling wireless earbuds, and along with the usual improvements in things like sound quality and battery life, the EAH-AZ80 and EAH-AZ60M2 have a unique ability: they are the first wireless earbuds to expand Bluetooth Multipoint from two simultaneous connections to three. This could let you keep the buds connected to two smartphones and a laptop -- or possibly a laptop, a phone, and a TV -- without needing to disconnect and reconnect when you want to change the device you're listening to.

The two models share many features, including wireless charging, which makes its debut on Technics wireless earbuds this year. They're protected against some water exposure via their IPX4 rating, and they're equipped with wear sensors, which enable auto-pause and the playing of music when the earbuds are inserted or removed.

Beats Fit Pro in Tidal Blue, Coral Pink, and Volt Yellow.

The Beats Fit Pro, an excellent set of noise-canceling wireless earbuds, now come in three new color options: Coral Pink, Volt Yellow, and Tidal Blue. They'll be available from Beats, Apple, and various retailers starting February 23 for the same $200 price as other Beats Fit Pro colors.

Unlike its parent company, Apple, which has never strayed from its iconic white color for the AirPods family of wireless earbuds, Beats is no stranger to colorful variations on its products. The brand has a long track record of releasing special limited-edition collaborations with artists, athletes, and brands, some of which have been anything but ordinary when comes to color.
