Another landmark is in the works for the great capital city of Moscow, Russia, dubbed the ‘Moscow View’. The 320-meter high installation will supplant the Singapore Flyer and London Eye as the tallest observation wheel in the world upon its completion.
The project is being undertaken by international practice Gensler and will function much like a Ferris wheel, with riders sitting aboard individual cabins that move along the structure’s rail system. The Moscow View will serve as a landmark and tourist attraction, offering visitors an unrivalled view of the city as well as access to restaurants, galleries, concert halls, and retail spaces located at the structure’s base.
While the final location for the Moscow View has not been selected yet, various locations are still being considered. It is estimated that the final cost of the project will be in the region of $300 million.
