If Sportline’s pedometer-and-heart-monitor-in-one sports watch doesn’t quite mesh with your idea of style, the company has developed a new electronic fitness tool that’s a little more discrete. The ThinQ credit-card sized pedometer can slip unobtrusively into any pocket or wallet, instead of the more traditional waistband mounting.
The pedometer keeps track of steps taken, distance travelled and calories burned, plus includes a traditional sports timer. It measures only a few millimeters thick and comes in green, orange and blue.
Although none of its functions are unique, to Sportline, the innovation is all in the style. “We understand that not everyone wants to showcase their commitment to fitness on the waistband of their pants,” said Dan Kinsbourne, vice president of marketing for Sportline, in a statement. “The ThinQ is an example of new technology and outstanding design coming together to better suit an individual’s fitness and lifestyle needs.”
