Nearly 300 miles west of Calgary is British Columbia’s Enchanted Forest. Opened back in the 1960s, the tourist attraction is a fairytale come true. It’s filled with structures like the Three Bears’ House and a 50-foot-tall tree house. Artist Doris Needham created the figurines of characters like Humpty Dumpty and Winnie the Pooh that are scattered about the neighborhood. She and her husband, Ernest, have lived on the 40-acre property in a “Candy Cane House” since the 1950s; they’re ready to retire and are selling the whole thing, kit-and-caboodle, for $2.7 million.
Attached to the Enchanted Forest is the SkyTrek Adventure Park, which is a high-ropes challenge course. It comes with the sale, too. It all looks pretty amazing, so let’s hope the new owners don’t turn the attraction into their own private playground.
