Fancy yourself a superhero, like, ohh say, Iron Man? While we can’t claim to find a way to get an authentic metal suit to help you fight crime, we can point you in the right direction to get your hands on the same smartphone used by Tony Stark throughout the third installment of the movie series. That’s gotta count for something, right?

The phone, Alcatel’s One Touch Idol, which made myriad cameos throughout Iron Man 3, is now available for pre-order through the manufacturer’s website. The device is ultra-thin at just 7.9mm, and weighs a mere 3.8 ounces. The brushed aluminum back gives is a polished look, and is available in six different colors, letting you give it more personalized look without having to bulk it up by adding a protective case.

The 4.7-inch screen phone is powered by a dual-core MegaTek processor, operates on Android Jelly Bean 4.1, and comes with 4GB storage with microSD that can support up to an additional 32GB. The rear-facing camera is 8-megapixel, while the front-facing is 2-megapixel. It rocks an 1800mAh battery with a lifespan of 415 hours on standby, 7.2 or 3.2 hours of talk time (the former being on 2G, the latter on 3G), or 45 hours of music playback. Or, to be simpler, it should barely eek out a day of battery on common use.

Alcatel is quick to warn potential customers, prior to ordering, that while this device is a GSM unlocked phone, it is not compatible with any CDMA networks; sorry Sprint and Verizon customers. If you’re looking to rock Stark’s phone, you’ll have to switch networks. The phone is available for $300, with no option to purchase through a mobile carrier for a contractual discount. Shipping is expected to begin on around June 15.

Future Android phones may come with another preinstalled Google app
The new Cardio Load and Readiness features in the Fitbit app.

If you have an Android phone, you know it comes with many preinstalled Google apps, such as Gmail, YouTube, and Google Maps. In future Android versions, another Google app might be automatically added to the mix.

As 9to5Google first noted, the Oppo Find X8 has Google’s Fitbit app preloaded on the device. It’s now part of Google’s Android app suite on that handset and replaces Google Fit. The site suggests, and probably rightly so, that more Android-based devices will also probably ship with Fitbit preinstalled in the future.
