The Apple iPad Pro is the Apple tablet for the productivity hound, media lover, or just anyone who wants the very best hardware for iPadOS. The newest iPad Pro is a truly transcendent tablet, powered by Apple's new M4 processor, and crammed into the thinnest body the company has ever created.
Whether you're buying the 13- or 11-inch versions of the new iPad Pro, the display is gorgeous, but it's also vulnerable. Scratches, bumps, and drops can spell out a very bad day for your supersized tablet, so it's best to protect against them before they can cause problems. A good screen protector is the best way to ward off damage, and we have some of the best iPad Pro screen protectors right here.
But why should the new iPads get all the love? We've also thrown some solid choices for the older iPad Pros too, so if you're looking to upgrade a little protection for your older iPad, then you can also check that out here.
The best glass iPad Pro (2024) screen protector
InvisibleShield Glass XTR
- Shock-absorbing tech
- Blue light filter
- Anti-reflection coating
- Made from recycled glass
- Limited lifetime warranty
- Very expensive
If you're going to get a screen protector for your iPad Pro, then it might as well be one of the most advanced and technologically impressive protectors around — and that's exactly what the InvisibleShield Glass XTR3 screen protector is. The Glass XTR3 is made with shock-absorbing Hexiom impact technology, and while we're not really sure what that is, InvisibleShield claims it makes the protector an incredible 10 times stronger than standard glass protectors.
So it's strong, but it's also packed with other features. There's an anti-reflection coating to cut out glare, an anti-microbial coating, a built-in blue light filter, a layer that improves the touch sensitivity, and even an anti-dust adhesive that combines with an easy-apply install jib that makes putting it on your iPad Pro an absolute breeze.
There's a problem here, of course — 80 of them, to be exact. The price is sky-high, and it makes it a daunting purchase for that reason. However, if you've just dropped thousands on the iPad Pro, then you deserve to protect it with a similarly expensive and impressive screen protector. It's protected by a limited lifetime warranty too, so you at least get a solid warranty backing you up.

Spigen Paper Touch EZ Fit
- Paper-like texture
- Matte finish reduces glare and reflections
- EZ Fit tool
- Compatible with all Spigen iPad Pro cases
- Expensive
- Film isn't as protective as glass
Spigen is one of our favorite case makers, and we're happy to report it makes some excellent screen protectors as well. The Paper Touch EZ Fit is a film protector, and while film inherently won't be as protective as tempered glass, there are still many valid reasons to buy a film protector. This one from Spigen is the best you can buy for the iPad Pro (2024).
The paper-like texture is one of the big reasons to love this protector, and it makes it the perfect choice if you use your iPad Pro with an Apple Pencil to draw, write, or annotate. The texture makes the iPad's screen feel like paper, meaning it's much more natural feeling when you're scrawling all over it. A matte finish comes with that texture, and that helps to cut down glare, adding further utility.
It's certainly expensive, though, and while there's some wisdom in spending big for your big tech purchase, also keep in mind that Spigen tends to offer big Amazon discounts every now and again, so there's no shame in waiting to see if it turns up on there eventually.

ESR Armorite Screen Protector — Twin Pack
- Great value
- Strong tempered glass
- Installation kit
- Few additional features
If you're looking for great value then you've got it; ESR's Armorite glass protector combines solid protection with a great price, giving you an extra sheet of glass between your iPad Pro screen and the world.
What makes this protector is the price. The tempered glass is strong, but it pales in comparison to the advanced strengthened protectors offered by more expensive options. And there's precious little else to write home about. Granted, tempered glass is strong by itself, so you're not missing out on protection really, but if you want a privacy shield, blue light filter, or a matte coating, you'll have to look elsewhere.
But you can't argue with that price, especially when it comes with an extra protector as well. So even if it does break, throwing itself in front of your display like a loyal bodyguard does with a bullet, you've got another one to take its place. Also included is an installation kit, which makes it easy to apply and takes out a lot of the stress of fitting it on.
The best glass iPad Pro 12.9 (2022-2018) screen protector
InvisibleShield Glass Elite
- Very strong glass protection
- Easy install tabs
- ClearPrint Anti-Fingerprint Technology
- Still expensive, even with discounts
If you're using an older iPad Pro, there are still options for you. The iPad Pro 12.9 didn't change much between 2022 and 2018, and as a result, there are a number of great screen protectors still available for tablets as much as six years old. InvisibleShield's Glass Elite is definitely one of the best glass screen protectors around, and it's our pick for your older iPad Pro 12.9.
The aluminosilicate glass uses Ion Exchange Technology to boost the protector's strength, offering five times the strength of a regular screen protector and dramatically improved scratch-resistance. It also has InvisibleShield's ClearPrint Anti-Fingerprint Technology, which stops smears and fingerprints from obscuring your vision, as well as an easy-install system to help you get it placed well.
It's not cheap, though, even with some great discounts applied, and that may be enough to put you off. It offers very strong protection, however, so it's worth keeping that in mind when it comes to picking your protection.

Ringke Paper Touch Film
- Gives a great paper-like feel
- Protects against smudges, dirt, and grime
- Thin and easy to apply
- Not as protective as glass
One of the best reasons to use a film screen protector on an iPad is to lend it a "paper-like" texture that makes using an Apple Pencil on it so much better, and as a result, it can be tough to find a good film protector that doesn't include this feature. That's why we're going to keep recommending paper touch protectors, because they're just a great reason to have a film protector on your older iPad Pro.
Film protectors guard against scratches, smudges, and dirt, but you can't really expect them to take a shatter in the same way a glass protector would — nor will it stand up to more direct abuse. But that's no reason to discount the decent protection a film protector can offer. Ringke's Paper Touch is the best film protector for your older 12.9-inch iPad Pro, and it comes at a great price, too.
The best glass iPad Pro 11 (2022-2018) screen protector
ProCase Privacy Screen Protector
- Keeps your iPad screen safe from snoopers
- Strong tempered glass
- Great price
- Can reduce viewing angles
We could repeat what we've already said above, but with the iPad Pro 11 (2022-2018), we decided to offer something different. While you can just buy the same screen protector (but smaller) as for the iPad Pro 12.9, or you could instead buy a glass protector that doesn't just protect your display but also protects your data security.
When applied to your iPad Pro, this protector's tint means the display fades to black when viewed from any angle other than straight on. So, if you're browsing your bank details or important company secrets, you can be sure that someone in a nearby chair isn't able to see over your shoulder. The tempered glass means it's also fairly protective, and though it's not much compared to more advanced protectors, it's still better than nothing. Think of the additional strength as a bonus rather than the actual reason to buy this. Best of all, buying it won't take a bite out of your bank balance either, as it's available at a great price.

MoKo Detachable and Reusable Film Protector
- Easily removed and reapplied
- Washable
- Anti-glare
- Not really for protection
This is something a little different — a film protector, yes, but not just any film protector. It's a reusable film protector. The point here isn't to slap it on and forget about it. No; instead you're meant to put it on when you need it and take it off when you don't.
It's an anti-glare protector with a paper feel to it, so it's aimed at those who want a more realistic feel when they're drawing or writing on the iPad Pro, and it assumes you might not want that all the time. So, when you're done with it, you can whip it off, give it a rinse under the tap if it's dirty, and slip it back into its own case. It's a great evolution of the film protector, and one we're very much appreciative of. At this price, it's definitely a bargain — just don't expect it to be a "true" protector.
