High-end and style-conscious peripheral maker G-Tech has announced that its 5250 Wireless Fabric Keyboard is now available through select CompUSA retailers at a suggested price of $129.99.
“Our wireless keyboards are just the latest in a line of exciting new products featuring ElekTex smart fabric touchpad technology, which has opened up a whole new realm of possibilities for mobile computing and wearable electronic goods,” said Mark Treger, G-tech’s VP of sales and marketing in a statement.
The G-Tech wireless fabric keyboard is designed to supplement smartphones, PDAs, and other Bluetooth capable devices in instances where significant text entry is needed, and small, thumb-based keypads just aren’t up to the job. They keyboard offers much of the convenience of a full-sized keyboard, but in a form which can literally be rolled up and tossed in a bag. The keyboard is waterproof withh no mechanical parts, runs off two AAA batteries, and comes with a small stand for a PDA, smart phone, or other device, a nylon carrying back, and user CD with software drivers. Currently, the keyboard supports BlackBerries, Palm Garnet 5.4, Windows Mobile, and Symbian operating systems.
