Greenpois0n updated, now offers untethered Apple TV jailbreak

The iOS hacking group Chronic Dev Team have announced the release of an update to the Greenpois0n jailbreak utility that offers an untethered jailbreak for the Apple TV 2G. The new Greenpois0n build allows owners of the second-generation Apple TV to download and install the popular NitoTV software and its accompanying features.

Up until the release of Greenpois0n RC6, most jailbreaking options for the Apple TV were tethered, meaning that the device had to be connected to a computer during boot ups.

Earlier this month, Chronic Dev Team announced the release of the Greenpois0n RC5 update, which finally offered jailbreaking support for iOS 4.2.1. Verizon iPhone owners who are interested in jailbreaking don’t need to feel left out. Even though Apple has already updated the iOS for the new Verizon iPhone 4 to 4.2.6, Greenpois0n RC6 should be able to jailbreak it.

The updated Safari app is Apple’s best-kept secret in iOS 18

Safari, for all its quirks, still commands the lion’s share of web browsers on Apple products. But compared to what its rivals offer on Android, it also comes out as the laziest in terms of innovation.

With iOS 18, Apple is turning the AI knob to the max, and the ripple effects of that approach are reflected in the latest builds of iOS and iPadOS, as well. Much attention has also been paid to making the web browser more convenient.

Every Apple Intelligence feature that is (and isn’t) in the iOS 18.1 beta
Apple Intelligence update on iPhone 15 Pro Max.

Apple has released the first developer beta for iOS 18.1, and it’s crucial for one key reason: Apple Intelligence. The suite of artificial intelligence features that Apple introduced at the WWDC a few weeks ago is finally making its way to iPhones. Well, at least a select few of those features.

Right now, Apple Intelligence is only available for the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. Also, make sure your device location is set to the United States and Siri’s language is set to English (U.S.) to get the best of Apple Intelligence. Right now, there’s a waitlist to enable Apple Intelligence on an iPhone, but as per a healthy few reports we’ve seen online, the waitlist clears in about 10 to 20 minutes. I managed to get the same done on iPadOS 18 in roughly five minutes.

When it comes to technology, everything is always in motion and evolving. One example of this is Apple’s iOS 19 software update. Yes, iOS 19. Even before iOS 18 is released to the public, it seems that Apple is already hard at work on the next version of iOS, which won’t even be announced until next June.

According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple developers are actively starting work on the 2025 operating systems for its most important products. Each already has an internal name. For example, the next version of iOS is called “Luck,” while macOS 16 is described as “Cheer.” “Nepali” is the name for watchOS 12, while “Discovery” concerns visionOS 3. No doubt, iPadOS 19 is also in the pipeline.
