This week’s offer takes 50 percent off phone accessories.

Discounted accessories include the recently-announced Rapid Charger 2.0, the Dot View case for the One M8, and HTC’s portable Bluetooth speaker, the Boombass. The discount is applied when you add items to the cart, so get to shopping before HTC runs out of accessories to sell. At the time of this writing, the Rapid Charger 2.0 is no longer available for purchase.

In previous weeks, HTC has offered the gorgeous HTC One M8, and the Nexus 9.

The unlocked Android version of HTC’s flagship handset will be available for $300 for the first 200 customers to claim the deal. That marks a savings of $350 off the initial retail price, which is a nice chunk of cash staying in your wallet.

Once the initial run is gone, 300 more people will have a chance to get the HTC One M8 for $500. It’s not quite the massive price cut as the first offer, but if you were going to pick up an HTC One M8 anyway, you might as well save on it when you have the chance.

The all-new Nexus 9 tablet (16GB model), was available for 50 percent off its retail price, making it just $200. Once the quantity of Nexus 9s price at half off are gone, the Hot Deal opens up to everyone to get $50 off the Nexus 9, 16GB or 32GB.

Amazfit showed me the future of health gadgets at CES 2025
The Amazfit V1tal sitting on a table with its screen on.

What's the next big thing for health gadgets? Smartwatches and fitness bands are everywhere. Smart rings had their breakout year in 2024 and look to have another strong one in 2025. Smart scales are the norm, and high-tech ways to check your blood pressure are commonplace, too. What comes next?

At CES 2025, I had the opportunity to see what it may be. During a behind-closed-doors demo session, Amazfit showed me the new Amazfit V1tal — a small device that records you while you eat so it can automatically log your food and provide nutritional info. It's a bit of a mad concept, but after seeing the gadget for myself and hearing Amazfit's pitch for it, I think it could be huge.
What exactly is the Amazfit V1tal?

Looking to buy the Samsung Galaxy S25 but don't have the money to pay for it all upfront? Samsung may eventually allow you to rent out the upcoming model and other Samsung Galaxy phones instead of purchasing them right off the bat.

Rumors of the smartphone subscription service came out of CES 2025, where Samsung CEO and Vice Chairman Han Jong-hee said that the company plans to introduce the subscription service at this year's Galaxy Unpacked event in two weeks, according to a report by ETNews. Jong-hee said that the service, dubbed the "AI Subscription Club," will launch in February, two months after it began offering it to customers in South Korea.

Person using the ESR Geo Digital Pencil.

ESR has made a name for itself making affordable and fairly reliable accessories for Apple products. The brand’s iPad gear and charging devices have been a mainstay on my desk over the years.

At CES 2025, the company has yet another surprise. The latest from ESR is the Geo Digital Pencil. On the surface, it looks like any other third-party stylus shaped after the Apple Pencil USB-C model. But it hides a neat lost-and-found trick.
