Koostik Mini Koo offers portable natural amplification for your iPhone

There are plenty of electronic iPhone docks that will blow you out of the water with their impressive sound specs and powerful bass. The Koostik Mini Koo ($70) is not one of them. This portable wood dock for your iPhone (any generation) uses natural wood acoustics and a ‘trumpet horn’ speaker port to amplify the sound or music coming from your device’s built-in speakers. Don’t expect it to give you full speaker sound like a traditional dock, but if you prefer something easily portable or non-power-sucking, this little guy will make your tunes loud enough to listen to in a quiet space.

The specially carved receiver was designed with the iPhone 4 in mind, but it will work with all other iPhone models as well. The Mini Koo has a cutout in the bottom of the iPhone dock that will allow users to connect their iPhone charger should they want to charge and listen at the same time. The wood dock is available in cherry or walnut finishes and is small enough (just 3.5″ x 5″ x 1.5″) to take just about anywhere. It may not give you the bass or volume of normal speakers, but the Mini Koo offers convenience, sound amplification, and a smaller carbon footprint.

The most common iPhone 16 problems (and how to fix them)
i created the perfect ios 18 control center iphone 16 2

Apple's latest iPhone 16 lineup packs in some exciting new features. The latest and greatest A18 chip brings the standard iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus duo closer to their iPhone 16 Pro counterparts than they've been in years, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max gets bigger than ever with a 6.9-inch display and the thinnest bezels of any smartphone yet.

The entire iPhone 16 family is more in harmony than ever this year, as Apple seems to have abandoned the trend of artificially limiting features like the Dynamic Island and Action Button to its Pro models, only to bring them to the standard ones a year later. Instead, this year's marquee new feature, the Camera Control, can be found on all four models. Sure, there are plenty of things that are still exclusive to the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, like the 120Hz ProMotion Display and 5x telephoto camera, but those at least feel like valid differentiators for a "Pro" model.

Apple hopes foldable and thinner iPhones will boost sales
A render of the iPhone Air.

Apple's iPhone sales have declined in recent years, primarily because the company has focused more on software updates than hardware improvements. However, Apple hopes this trend will change next year, as it plans to introduce new handsets with significant design upgrades.

There has been considerable discussion recently about the upcoming "iPhone 17 Air," which is anticipated to be the thinnest iPhone ever made. It is expected to be released in September alongside the rest of the iPhone 17 lineup.

Some iPhone users report overheating when using Apple Intelligence
The Nomad Magnetic Leather Back on the iPhone 16 Pro Max

After a long wait, iOS 18.2 has finally rolled out to the public at large and unlocked more Apple Intelligence features like Image Playground, Genmoji, and an upgraded Mail app. It might have also introduced a way to keep your hands warm on these frosty winter days, according to some users.

Reddit user u/dsdxp posted on the iPhone subreddit that they had unlocked a secret feature in the iPhone 16 Pro. The comment was obviously sardonic, but many other users responded with their own stories of troubling temperatures from their iPhones. The common element between all of the stories was the Image Playground app and the excessive heat it creates while in use.
