GPS maker Magellan has announced its new RaodMate 1475T GPS, sliding in at the top end of its RoadMate GPS series. The 1475T offers a new 4.3-inch WQVGA anti-glare touchscreen display, a new slim design, and subscription-free real-time traffic alerts to help drivers get where they’re going with a minimum of gridlock.
"Magellan is committed to providing navigation solutions that provide the best possible experience to consumers," said Magellan’s senior director of product marketing Mike Wagner, in a statement. "The new Magellan RoadMate 1475T takes that commitment to the next level by offering users an enhanced ease-of-use and convenience with premium features like the built-in traffic link and the exclusive OneTouch user interface."
The 1475T’c features Magellan’s OneTouch menu system that puts favorite features and pre-configured addresses just one selection away from the home screen; the 1475T also offers searchable AAA TourBook listings for things like AAA-rated restaurants and lodgings, campgrounds, events, and tourist attractions. The unit also includes highway exist points-of-interest (things like gas stations, eateries, and hotels), spoken street name guidance, multi-destination routing with route optimization, and Navteq maps of the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico.
The RoadMate 1475T is available now at a suggested price of $299.
