Motorola Keeps ROKing with EM35

Motorola Keeps ROKing with EM35

Motorola’s ever-expanding line of ROKR music phones saw yet another offspring on Tuesday with the announcement of the new MOTOROKR EM35. The rounded-edge slider features a variety of audio-enhancing features tailored to music, as well as staples like a 3.1-inch camera and Bluetooth.

The EM35 will be one of the few cell phones to include virtual surround sound, which Motorola claims will change the earbud listening experience to make it sound as if music is coming from around your head, rather than in your ears. The phone will include two music players: Motorola’s own Motomusic player with music store access, and Windows Media Player 11. There’s also a built-in FM tuner with RDS and SongID, which can identify radio songs automatically.

Users can listen through external stereo speakers, headphones using the standard 3.5mm headphone jack, or wireless headphones using the phone’s stereo Bluetooth capabilities. And to make it even more music friendly, Motorola has included dedicated music buttons on the outside and a FastScroll wheel for quickly navigating libraries.

The MOTOROKR EM35 will debut later this quarter, but Motorola has not yet announced a price.

Remember Moto AI? Motorola finally has an update on it
A person taking a photo with the Motorola Razr 2024.

When Motorola launched the Razr Plus 2024 this year, it also mentioned some of its own AI-powered tools, appropriately named Moto AI. However, we’ve only seen Moto AI through a couple of image-generation tools like Magic Canvas and Style Sync. Now, Motorola has just announced at Lenovo Tech World 2024 that more Moto AI tools are coming, at least in beta form.

Motorola discussed some Moto AI features earlier this year, including Catch Me Up and Remember This. The Catch Me Up feature lets you get a prioritized summary of your notifications so you don’t have to scroll through a bunch of missed notifications. There is also Pay Attention, which helps users recall instructions or details without having to write notes or listen to long recordings. Remember This captures live moments or onscreen information when activated and saves it while providing AI-powered insights.

Foldable phones have become a lot bigger in the past few years after Samsung spearheaded the charge with the Fold and Flip phones. Of course, it's still a relatively new market and tech, so if you've been considering grabbing one, then you know that they can be quite expensive, especially since they are some of the best phones out there. Luckily, you can get a pretty solid $200 discount on this Motorola Razer Plus, bringing it down to a more affordable $800 and giving you access to a great foldable phone experience.

Why you should buy the Motorola Razr Plus
While the Motorola Razr Plus may not seem like a cheap option compared to something like the Samsung Z Flip 6, it actually is, given that it's a more premium version of the standard Motorola Razr. In fact, when we got our hands on it we felt that it was ". . . a phenomenal phone. It's fun, well-made, and one of the best foldables you can buy." Ironically, one of its biggest downsides was the price, which is very much rectified with the $200 that this deal comes with.
