Mozilla Releases Fennec

Mozilla is moving fast with the mobile version of its Firefox browser. The beta version, dubbed Fennec, has been released, but according to Vnunet, it’s currently only available for the Nokia N810 and N800 Internet tablets.

It’s still very much a work in progress, currently with Flash disabled, but with a PC emulator that lets developers try out capabilities on other platforms.

“Fennec is being tested pretty hard now, and by people who love to find bugs. We are finding and fixing lots of issues now. It’s not entirely landed yet and will likely get some tweaks as we iterate on the design.”

Mozilla has plans to release a version for Windows Mobile soon.

Like the iPhone did for cell phones, the Apple Watch has changed the market of health and fitness trackers forever. While the iPhone was the biggest product launch under Steve Jobs, the Apple Watch has become Tim Cook’s biggest product launch since taking over after Jobs’ death in 2011.

The original Apple Watch was first announced in September 2014, and since that time, we've had a decade of Apple Watch models for every budget and person. That decade has seen a lot of changes in the Apple Watch, and while the general shape hasn't changed, we've seen many new features, slimmer bezels, and even a new rugged outlook for certain models.

Before the iPhone 15 Pro launched, a lot of people suspected Apple would ditch its physical buttons in lieu of haptic feedback buttons. As we now know, that didn't happen, nor did any of the iPhone 16 lineup receive this feature. Now, a video of an iPhone 14 Pro prototype has surfaced that shows a working haptic volume and power button — so why didn't it release?

An anonymous source told Android Headlines that Apple isn't yet ready to add the feature into its existing lineup. Haptic controls — supposedly code=named internally as "Bongo" — have been in development for quite some time, even before the launch of the iPhone 13 series. The prototype iPhone 14 is said to have been built in May 2021, and though it does have some interesting features, it isn't fully functional.

iOS 18.2 just took another step toward its official release

Yet another iOS update is ready, and this one is important. The iOS 18.2 beta 2 update is live, and it's a big deal for a couple of reasons. It's available to more people than the previous beta, and it indicates another step toward iOS 18.2's public launch.

The first version of this beta was only available to people whose phones supported Apple Intelligence, but this latest version works with any phone that can update to iOS 18. Addditionally, iOS 18.2 beta 2 is only available to developer beta testers. There isn't a public beta at the moment, and we have no word on when one might release. Still, it's good to see that more people are included this time around.
