New iPad owners: Here are all the apps you should download

Apple’s new iPad is officially on sale. The hot new tablet became available at Walmart at 12am this morning, and at Apple stores at 8am. As most of you likely already know, the big new feature in the third-generation iPad is its Retina display, which sports a 2048×1536 resolution, twice that of the iPad 2. Unfortunately, if you want to really enjoy the better resolution, you’ll need to download apps that have upped their pixel count as well. Here, a complete list of all the iPad apps out today that have been upgraded to maximize the shiny new screen:

Apple is the biggest consumer electronics player that is yet to dabble in foldable devices. It seems the company’s plans for a foldable device could actually be more ambitious than any rival has attempted so far. According to Bloomberg, the company’s next big product category could be, well, a big foldable iPad.

The report mentions “a giant iPad that unfolds into the size of two iPad Pros side-by-side.” The biggest challenge for Apple has been eliminating the crease in the middle of the flexible screen, and it seems the company’s engineers have solved that piece of the puzzle to a large extent.

This year feels like a turning point for smartphones with all the new AI features being rolled out by Apple, Google, and basically every other tech company. The iPhone SE and iPhone 14 series will no longer be available for purchase in Europe at the end of the year. In an effort to make technology more consumer-friendly, the European Union ruled that any mobile device sold must be able to charge through USB-C, according to iGeneration. While more modern entries in Apple's lineup already meet those guidelines, the iPhone SE and iPhone 14 do not.

These aren't the newest additions to Apple's lineup, but the iPhone SE and the iPhone 14 series are still sold in Europe. These will be pulled from shelves as the deadline approaches. Customers have plenty of options, but this decision will leave the European market without an iPhone SE option until the next model releases in 2025.
