New iPhone In July?

If the people at Apple iPhone Apps are to be believed, the wait for the new iPhone won’t be long. They say it will be launched on July 17th.

The site claims its information comes from "a source who is closely connected to Apple’s hardware development team," and details what will be on the phone.

It’s going to include a 50% improvement in battery life, double the processing power, and OLED display, and a rubber-backed body with a light-up Apple logo on the back. All that is in addition to a 3.2-megapixel camera which will include in-phone video editing, and enhanced location services including a built-in FM transmitter and digital compass, according to The Register.

The talk is that 16GB and 32GB versions will be available for $199 and $299, respectively.

No, that headline isn't a typo. A little over a month after Android 15 was released to the masses in October, Google has already announced Android 16 and begun rolling out its first developer beta of the newest Android version.

If this seems like a much earlier release than usual, that's because it is. We typically expect the first developer beta of the next Android update to arrive in February. For Android 16, however, Google has pushed the timeline up by a few months and launched Android 16 Developer Preview 1 in mid-November.
