OnePlus has had an interesting 2014. From celebrating its first birthday to having its smartphone banned in India, OnePlus had a rather topsy-turvy year. Regardless, the company launched its final “contest” of 2014. At the end of the contest, one lucky person will walk away with a free OnePlus One.
Thankfully, this time around, there are no sexist requirements, and no phone smashing of any kind is necessary to participate. Dubbed “One in a Million,” the “contest” is a simple random draw. To enter, just submit your name, email address, and like OnePlus’ Facebook page. There will only be one winner, and that person will get a 64GB Sandstone Black OnePlus One.
According to OnePlus, the random draw is to celebrate the company having 1 million Facebook fans. The draw ends on Christmas Eve, December 24, so if you want a chance to win the OnePlus One, now would be a good time to sign up.
Let’s hope that 2015 is the year OnePlus decides to step its game up. The company made waves by announcing its “flagship killer,” the OnePlus One. The idea was to introduce a powerful smartphone at an unlocked price not seen very often. However, that idea has been marred by terrible marketing and its invite system, though there has been talk to completely drop the latter. Hopefully, OnePlus will do better with the OnePlus Two.
