Images of the OnePlus One smartphone, together with its range of ‘StyleSwap’ swappable covers (above), have leaked online just a few days before the official unveiling of the much-anticipated handset.

To be clear, until the company pulls the wraps off its device on Wednesday, we won’t know for sure if the leaked material – which arrived via Android Authority forums – is genuine, but it’s nevertheless fun to take a quick look at what the phone’s maker might have in store for us.

First up, a profile shot of the One (below), a device which OnePlus boss Pete Lau has said will sport looks gorgeous enough to make it “more attractive than just about any phone on the market.” So, do you feel any tingling sensation or unexpected palpitation as you cast your eyes upon the image below?

oneplus one handsetAs for the StyleSwap covers, we first heard about these last month, and going by the leaked image, they certainly look pretty striking. Offering owners of the new handset a variety of ways to customize and protect their device, designs announced by the China-based company include silk, sandstone, denim, bamboo, and Kevlar, with those last three constructed from the actual material.

The ‘perfect smartphone’?

Former Oppo executive Lau created his OnePlus startup at the end of last year, and was quickly turning a lot of heads in the industry with bold claims that he was intending to build “the perfect smartphone.”

While some may have dismissed his talk as mere marketing guff, many have been taken by the specs and pricing of the forthcoming handset. Costing less than $400, the OnePlus One will sport a 5.5-inch 1080p display, powerful Snapdragon 801 processor, 3GB of RAM, and a 3100mAh battery.

The handset’s 13-megapixel, six-element Sony Exmor IMX214 rear camera features image stabilization and 4K video recording, as well as slow-motion recording at 720p, while on the front you’ll find a 5-megapixel camera.

The phone will run on the Android-based CyanogenMod operating system, and will go on sale through the company’s website, landing first in the US, UK, and Canada.

With the OnePlus One’s launch just a couple of days away, it won’t be too long before we’ll have some idea if Lau’s creation lives up to the hype. Be sure to check back Wednesday to find out more.

Massive OnePlus 13 leak just revealed everything about the phone
Official OnePlus 13 product render in three colors.

At this point, it's common news that the OnePlus 13 will launch in China tomorrow. Obviously, we would get all of the specs on the phone at launch, but the Chinese telecommunications authority TENAA (similar to the Federal Communications Commission in the U.S.) recently shared an almost complete specs list. Since it's coming from an official agency, this is information that you can pretty much take at face value.

According to the certification, the OnePlus 13 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and will come with a 4.1GHz CPU, and have a 6,000mAh battery. We already knew most of these details from previous leaks, but it's good to see them confirmed.

Here are some of the specs for the OnePlus Open 2
OnePlus Open in Emerald Dusk open halfway showing home screen.

The OnePlus Open was a heck of a foldable phone that scored a four out of five in our review, and now we have exciting news about its successor. The OnePlus Open 2 is scheduled to launch sometime in 2025 and promises to bring serious upgrades with it, including an even slimmer design. That's saying something, especially since the original OnePlus Open is already incredibly thin (just 5.8mm) when unfolded.

The news comes courtesy of tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo and through GSMArena's translation. A previous rumor stated that the OnePlus Open 2 might be less than 10mm when folded, lending credence to the idea of an ultrathin phone.
