Scosche freeKEY Bluetooth keyboard: spillproof and flexible

Peripheral and accessory make Scosche has announced its new freeKEY Bluetooth keyboard—and it’s freaky feature is a water-resistant, silicon design that’s flexible—and can be rolled up for storage and transport. Scosche is aiming the freeKEY as users of tablets, smartphones, and other Bluetooth devices that occasionally need to whip out a keyboard for messaging, email, or other tasks, but don’t want to sacrifice portability to a full netbook or notebook computer.

“With tablets becoming more and more common in the workplace we wanted to create a mobile typing solution for the tablet power user,” said Scosche executive VP Kas Alves, in a statement. “The freeKEY gives our customers the ability to comfortably respond to lengthier, more formal work emails and draft documents that would be otherwise difficult to create.”

The freeKEY uses Bluetooth 2.0 and works with iOS and Android devices as well as Mac and Windows PCs with Bluetooth capability. Once a freeKey is paired with a device it will automatically re-pair the next time the keyboard powers up. Scosche also includes a retractible USB-to-microUSB charger.

Scosche is offering the freeKEY now for $59.99. The company has produced a video detailing the freeKEY’s water resistance and portability.

Belkin’s new iPad keyboard case may be better than Apple’s Magic Keyboard
The Belkin Everyday Keyboard Case and Cradle's keys and touchpad.

Through the sweaty crush of people at an early event at IFA 2024, a star was spotted. It was sitting on the end of the table at accessory maker Belkin’s booth, and it immediately caught my eye. It somehow looked different from similar versions I’d seen — and I was immediately intrigued.

It was the Belkin Everyday Keyboard Case with Cradle for the iPad Air and iPad Pro. It's not the catchiest of names, but the product certainly made up for that.
Another keyboard case?

One of the best iPad deals at the moment is over at Amazon. Today, you can buy the Apple iPad mini 6th generation for $380 instead of $499. The $119 discount is a sizeable one, working out at 24% off. It's a tremendous value for an iPad that is one of my favorite tablets from recent years. Apple deals are always worth checking out, so we’re here to tell you all about how great the iPad mini is and how it’ll fit into your lifestyle perfectly.

Why you should buy the Apple iPad mini
I’ve used many of the best iPads over the years, and the Apple iPad mini is my favorite. That’s because it bridges the gap between phone and laptop perfectly. iPads like the iPad Pro are great, but they’re big and I feel like I might as well grab my laptop instead. Alternatively, when I need something a little bigger than my phone, the Apple iPad mini is perfect.

Recent apps view on the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra.

Over the past few weeks, we’ve come across a few purported product renders of the next flagship Samsung tablet, along with some details of its key specs. Now, leaker Evan Blass has shared an alleged render of the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra that reveals one stunning detail.

Alongside the bottom edge of the tablet, we get not one, but two USB Type-C ports. This isn't the first time we have seen this feature, but it is a fresh approach for Samsung tablets. The rest of the design — including its slim metallic shell, dual cameras, thin bezels, and notch — is carried over from its predecessor, the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra.
