Slacker Radio for Palm WebOS is Out

palm-slackerGuess what little gem of an internet radio station is now available for webOS—Slacker, of course! You really only had a few options with that guess. Slacker, Inc. today announced the Slacker Radio Mobile app for Palm Pre, Palm Pre Plus, Palm Pixi and Palm Pixi Plus smartphones. Palm-smartphone-toting music lovers can now officially rejoice.

Palm webOS smartphone owners now have the ability to enjoy the Slacker’s custom music stations, over 120 expert-programmed Slacker genre, seasonal and spotlight stations, a music library featuring millions of song and over 10,000 artist stations. That’s quite a few stations. You can also rate songs, ban songs, and view artist bios and photos—all on your webOS phone.

“Slacker offers music lovers an effortless way to discover and enjoy music on their computers, smartphones or through their home entertainment devices,” said Jonathan Sasse, senior vice president of marketing at Slacker. “Our free app for Palm webOS enables music fans play their favorite Slacker Radio stations wherever they go.”

Slacker Inc. says the free Slacker Radio application is available through the Palm webOS mobile platform App Catalog or by visiting http://www.slacker.com from the webOS browser.

Apple’s iPhone 16 lineup is here. Though the base model iPhone 16 has taken a lot of the spotlight this year with the redesigned camera layout and amazing colors, the iPhone 16 Pro is a bit more iterative in terms of upgrades.

I personally bought an iPhone 16 Pro to upgrade from my iPhone 15 Pro. To be honest, though, if the iPhone 16 had a 1TB storage option, I would have gone that route. Since it doesn’t, I had to go with the iPhone 16 Pro, as much as I wanted a pink phone. But storage wasn't the only reason — I also wanted the improved telephoto camera that I missed out on last year.
